Outstanding!

This was actually one of my better rental car experiences. Never before have I had such great communication prior to my trip. I received several e-mails prior to arriving in Iceland with helpful information about my rental and things to do in Iceland. The "Duster" was a great 4x4, we encountered some fierce weather on our way to a highland glacier and the car preformed great through the mud, snow, and rain. Great service, however I have one recommendation to make it even better. Take some time to explain the 4x4 functionality of the car and how to engage it. We figured it out, but that would have been helpful.

Booked a last minute rental through Lava and it was the beat experience! They picked me up and got me on my way so quickly. Returning the car was even easier. I had an early flight and had to return the car at 3am and they were ready and waiting for me! I would absolutely rent a car from them again.

We had a great experience with Lava Rental. We were picked up from our early morning arrival and shuttled promptly to our car. We were not pressured to buy an extras but were kindly offered options. Returning the care went quick and smoothly and we were quickly shuttled back to the airport. Both parties we dealt with were friendly and helpful. I would definitely rent from Lava again

Outstanding!

After reading many horror stories of rental car companies in Iceland, I did my research before the trip and could not be happier with the choice of goingwith Lava Auto through North Bound. Impeccable service - being picked up and dropped back to the airport. We rented a 4x4 Dacia Duster for 11 days. It got us around the country with no issues whatsoever. We were sad to part ways with our trusty car. Recommend this company to everyone!

Outstanding!

The car was perfect for us. We were three persons. We had enogh space and we had no big problems. We noticed a wrong sound from the car on the first day but it was not a big deal and the guys from Lava Car fixed it in 20 minutes. But when we had booked the car, we were four persons and we chose the car because the specifications said the car has enogh space for five persons and five baggage. We thought that would be a good option for four persons, four baggage and four backpacks but we never had enough space if we were four guys. Fortunatelly, we were only three persons and the car was perfect. I would give you 3 points if we were four guys but we were three guys so i will give 5 points :)

Outstanding!

Rented a vehicle from Lava through Northbound and everything went as planned with zero issues. Was picked up at airport as soon as we cleared passport control and was taken back in the same vehicle we rented and didn't have to switch our luggage around. Would definitely use both, when we visit Iceland again!

Outstanding!

The Dacia Duster was perfect for our family of 5. The manual transmission was very easy to shift and we seemed to get very good mileage with the diesel fuel. It was a tight squeeze with our 5 pieces of 26" luggage, but Lava helped us out and held a couple of our bags for us temporarily. Our flight was late and it did take awhile to get our bags and exit the airport, so there was no one waiting for us and it did take a bit to get a ride. Not a big deal though and found the return very easy as well. Would use Lava again.

Lava Auto Car Rental is an honest company without any hard sellings. The car collection process was fast and no frills. They gave us a brand new car to drive. A bonus!
