Outstanding!

Smooth experience. Car was in perfect condition (Renault Duster). Not a corporate experience. The employees were very friendly and helpful.

Great. It was good to feel that the car I was looking at on the site would be the car I'd actually get. I emailed ahead to check on the spec of the car and got a clear response beforehand, so that was great.

We were contacted prior to arrival Reykjavik by txt message and met by a friendly Lava Auto representative at the airport. He took us to the office a few minutes on the way towards Reykjavik. Paperwork was done in a very short time so opposite to what I expected this actually went quicker than when I've been renting from rentals that have offices at the airports (no standing in line or searching for the car). Returning the car at the Lava office was just as easy, and they drove us to the airport. We were a party of 4. The Dacia Duster we rented was clean (when we picked it up ;-) ) and in good shape. I can easily recommend Lava Auto for your car rental service.

Outstanding!

Service good (as in sport - when referee's work is perfect, nobody notice him) - no delay, no fuss, no hassle. Car - same as advertised (Dacia Duster diesel), good condition, no problems. Price - somewhat lower than in other companies.

courteous service, reliable, fair and excellent rental! we reviewed and researched and rented from lava for our six-day adventure with our nine-year old. lava did not disappoint! they picked us up from the airport and had a straightforward contract, and didn't mince words. we had a pretty cool sub-suv with studded snow tires. highly, highly recommend lava for your tour of iceland.

Outstanding!

The whole car rental experience went very smoothly. The customer service was friendly and efficient, and the Dacia Duster 4x4 car coped well with five passengers on both good and bad road surfaces and in a variety of weather conditions. There were no problems throughout the five day hire period.

Outstanding!

We were very pleased with Lava Auto. We had read stories online that made renting a car in Iceland stressful. Then we found the Northbound site and booked through Lava. Everything was great - a fair price that included insurance and GPS, easy pick up and drop off and the car was almost brand new. We were very happy!

Excellent experience. We were picked up at the airport by a Lava associate and driven to their office, which is less than 5 minutes from the airport. The customer service was excellent and they even provided a great restaurant recommendation. I would definitely use Lava again.
