Excellent

Because of an error in the system, my order couldn't be fulfilled and I lost a great discount on a vehicle. But Northbound took upon themselves to find a replacement vehicle on a really short notice. Even if the vehicle wasn't as great a deal as the original one, it was a really satisfying experience. Would recommend!

Outstanding!

The car was great, and the pick up/drop off process was easy. It was nice to be able to have wifi in the car as well. Northbound made it very easy to find the best deal. Would definitely consider renting from Northbound/Star again if I'm ever in Iceland.

Good

We were friendly picked up at the airport. The rental car was nearly brandnew, nice... At our first stop, we noticed we didn't have the cooling box in the car. After contact , it was delicered in half an hour, super! Great service. The car was as expected. Basic material, but on a low budget. We would do it again.

Outstanding!

I was thoroughly satisfied with my rental experience with Star Car Rental. The pick up and drop off were seamless and the vehicle was clean and well equipped. It also didn't hurt that their price was significantly more affordable than comparable rentals through the larger chains. I would definitely book through them again if I ever make it back to Iceland.

Good

I have felt disappointed with some aspects of the rental. First, I asked to pay in euros, in order to avoid my bank commissions. I could not, because of the data phone settings, I was told. Secondly, I had to return earlier than I had hired, so I sent an e-mail to communicate this, and I asked, if it were possible, for some money refund. I had no answer for this e-mail sent on my second day of rent. I tried again two days later, and I had answer: early returns were always allowed, nevertheless, there will be no money refund. Finally, when I had dropped off the car, since I was been taken to the airport, I was informed that, because of a damage on the windshield, I will be charged with 100 euros, self risk concept. I told that I had all the insurances hired, and I had paid one day extra. I was informed that, because of this extra day paid, I will not be charged with this 100 euros. When I was just landing on my country, I received a message from my bank account. I had a charge of 50 euros. I have had no email from STAR RENTAL to communicate this charge. From my point of view, I must been informed with any charge on my credit card. ´ I recognize that some of the issues I mention are, in part, my own mistakes. But I would appreciate some nice gesture. Apart from this, everything was OK

Outstanding!

The camper was great and perfect for our trip! The camping equipment was very good and handy, the car was easy to drive and even provided an USB-port to charge our phones whilst driving. You only get one stove though, but that wasn't a problem for us since we lent a second one which made cooking much more convenient. Communication with Star Car Rental was very easy and they were super friendly. Would absolutely recommend both Star Car Rental and Northbound!

Excellent

Hi I choose you because it was the best price i found. I was very saticefied with the car. Quite new and did the job to get me around the Island. But i sure would take a car with heater when it was very cold in morning without. Should be standard on Iceland I think. The rentalguy was easy and polite, it was smooth and easy to get and leave the car. I also liked the information you send out of Iceland. Me and my doughter had an plesent trip around Iceland and your company helpt us with that.

Excellent! Great company with great communication. The campervan we hired was very comfortable and was great on petrol! I would definitely recommend Northbound and wouldn't look elsewhere on my next trip to Iceland!
