Lava Car Rental in Island

The car was great, except we did not get proper instructions. It was a hybrid with an empty battery, we did not use it during our stay because we didn't know how to do so. Another thing was that we didn't get the service we would like to have when we broke down. The plate under the engine came loose, therefore we wanted to find a garage but we couldn't find one. We hoped lava car rental would call a garage nearby for us, zo we could get it fixed.. instead we drove to times to the same city on different days but couldn't find one that could help us eventually we had to reschedule our plans to find one 2 hours away... Not nice when you are in a holiday.

Grundsätzlich war alles sehr gut. Nicht zufrieden war ich damit, dass ich bei der Full-Protection-Versicherung nicht ein Allrad-Fahrzeug für F-Strassen auswählen konnte und deshalb eine zweite Versicherung dafür (ebenfalls bei Northbound) abschloss. Warum ist dies nicht möglich?

Everything went well and the car was up to expectations, apart from the fact it didn’t have cruise mode as described in the details. One door was a little difficult to close, but once you got the hang of it it was ok. Upon pick up the shuttle was late, but drop off went smoothly.

Hi! Instead off the 2019 Dacia Duster Manual I got the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Automatic,during 9 days we drove 1620km along the southwest-southeast cost and I am fully satisfied regarding the car experience.

Good price. We got bumped up to a slightly better car than we reserved, presumably due to availability. We arrived rather late and found the processing time to get the car quite slow (30 min?) as there were a few families ahead of us and only 1 agent. A detail, but bit of a shame when you rent a plug-in hybrid and the battery is empty upon pick-up. To be fair we found the plug-in feature of limited use for a roadtrip around Iceland (more for urban driving, but also the cable they gave us what not compatible with many charging points). Nonetheless you see tons of PHEV rental cars - presumably for fiscal reasons? Also bit of a shame was the child booster seats we rented which were very worn-out / dirty. So could be better but also one of the cheapest options I believe.

We have already booked everything online. So we were picked up at the airport and taken directly to the car rental. It is about 5 minutes away from the airport. Once we arrived, we had to wait a bit because a few other guests were picking up the car at the same time. But that was absolutely no problem and it was already after 8 pm. In the end, however, we received a Mitsubishi 4x4. The vehicle is in the same category as the booked vehicle and was perfect in any case. The vehicle was handed over in top condition and had just under 30,000 km. In general, I had the impression that the car rental companies tend to have very new vehicles. The drop-off 14 days later was also absolutely no problem. The vehicle was briefly inspected from the outside and it was checked whether we had filled up the tank and that was it. We would even have been brought back to the airport, but we wanted to go to a small village nearby. Great service! Would definitely recommend this car rental.

We have drove 2800 km in a week and Suzuki did the joob . Car was good no the asfalt so on of road .

It was (and is)a very good car. I was really happy to drive, it was the best rental car, I had ever driven ( sorry my English is not very well, on the other hand not so bad as possible)
