The camper was running great but felt run down. There were no long stairs to climb in bed above tge drivers seat. The fridge was only working on gas. It didn’t cool on battery or electricity. The controlpanel didn’t work on battery when car was switched off. Apart from these issues we had a great time and truly enjoyed iceland. It also would have been nicer if it was possible to get insurance without any selfrisk. We took the top insurance package and still had 100k isk self risk.

Camper worked well. We never could start the heater under the seat and wished I had paid more attention to my instruction about this. We had sleeping bags and it really did not matter. Your employee explained things well though. You might have future campers actually engage the heater before leaving since it might cooler later. Being able to leave the key helped let us utilize our last day on Heimy island that was amazing. Icelanders were very helpful and made our stay very memorable and enjoyable.

Overall good experience but had to wait for an hour for our car after arriving at the rental place which put us behind schedule. This was 1.5 hours after the time we had scheduled. They were apologetic and offered us snacks while we waited. The car was nice and the WiFi router was great (if we knew this came with the car, we wouldn’t have rented the GPS). Quick service when we dropped off the car.

The guys were amazingly friendly and easy to deal with at pick up / drop off. I sent an inquiry before renting and that person responded quickly and was very helpful as well. I had an Outlander, and I could have used something with a little bigger tires, or more rugged tires and additional ground clearance for those F roads. Might want to steer people towards something like that if there is any interaction before they book. That's it, great experience.

Your check in process needs to be revised to reduce 2 1/2 hours to 30 minutes or less. From the moment I took a ticket number when I entered your office to the minute we drove away with a car was 150 minutes. If I had not partially prepaid, I would have considered a nearby competitor. After receiving the car, everything else was fine.

I could not say enough positive things about this company. 1. Although they do not open until 6am, they saw our flight was in at 445, and picked us up at 5am, instead of 6. 2. Pick us up from baggage claim and a name on a card so we knew exactly where to go. 3. Quickly showed us our camper, gave us a few points for us to know about Iceland and we were on our way. 4. Drop off was less than 5 mins and they took us to the airport. No stress. 5. Everything in the camper worked as promised and was laid out in a comvient way. 6. I asked questions via email and they responded quickly, and was very nice. 7. All the people we talked to were all very kind and helpful people. The only thing that wasn’t included that we needed was a sleeping bag or blankets. We found a store once we got in to Reykjavík and bought blankets for 15.00 or make use you pick the sleeping bag add on. I would highly highly highly recommend this company.

My experience with Icerental 4x4 was great. Everything was as I expected with our vehicle. We were able to travel on all of the back roads and through streams and mud. The Jimny was great, the vehicle was brand new, ran wonderfully and it was great on petrol. We were given a GPS and a WiFi router to plug in, which came in handy. We relied on Google Maps to navigate the South side of the country. One detail that could be improved on is the tent. It was a little older and had signs of mildew or mold from being damp. When it rained, we did get dripped on. The seam on the top of the tent leaked and the tent soaked up water and ran down the inside of the tent onto the pillows and sleeping bags. We had waterproof bags (thank god). Overall, our time in Iceland driving the Jimny was very pleasant and the vehicle did it's job. The staff were very nice and informative. If they offer you the additional insurance UPGRADE!!! We did, and were glad that we did so. We didn't realize it till the end of our trip but our windshield was chipped and cracked a bit.
