Smooth service and great car. Went exceptionally well and the WiFi deal was well worth it.

This was the best car rental experience ever! The agent in Reykjavik office was so kind, professional and efficient, explaining everything you need to know with helpful advices for the entire trip. The airport drop off agent excellent as well. The car was perfect in any sense 😊

Very smooth car to drive. Doesn’t feel like you’re going fast when you are driving fast. It also is a great car for bumpy and uneven roads. However, we rented this car because we thought it’d be fuel efficient as a hybrid, but seemed to guzzle gas a bit more than expected? The first half of the fuel gauge goes down quite quickly. We are not sure. This may be because we only topped up about 30 litres at a time (which the car indicates as a full tank), but it appears that the actual fuel capacity is 60 litres. Also there was a random vibration at times that would go away eventually (did not affect performance).

Hi everyone. During the time we spent in Iceland we travelled in the 2022 Toyota Highlander. It run smooth all the time. No strange noises, plenty of space (we were 6 PAX, including 2 baby seats and suitcases), and pretty easy to drive. Highly recommended.

Iceland is truly incredible and the hire car was sensational. I would just like to make a suggestion to you, in relation to making life easier for those who are going to rent a campervan, for example, we were not offered the gas for the cooker, we were provided with a separate cooker with only one nozzle, you could sell the option of giving a full gas to be used in the van. Offer a cleaning kit, such as a small broom, cloth or something like that, so that we can clean the inside of the van during use and for delivery and finally, include the interior items in the insurance, it was said that everything was very fragile and expensive, we practically didn't touch anything inside the van for fear of breaking. But in the end, the experience was good, just this pints for improvement.

Car was good for us. Only problem was drop off as the person who was to take us to the airport, didn't have the keys. He drove us there in the car we rented. I just never received any confirmation that the car was returned and all was OK. I assume it was I didn't hear anything?

Everything we need the office provides at the car, even in minimums details.

The service was Great. The gps was not so next time I will bring my own. The internet conection device worked well. Over all I am pleased tith the car and service and will use this Company again

We rented our car from Northbound for our week long trip to Iceland and the entire experience from start to finish was smooth and simple. Booking online was a breeze as the website was easy to navigate and their prices were pretty affordable, if not cheaper than most places I looked at. Initially it said we were going to get the 2021 Hyundai i10 however we ended up with a Mazda hatchback which was just fine as we were only 2 people. The insurance options they had were also decently priced and we went with the complete coverage which also came with a portable wifi router—a must for Iceland for navigation purposes and peace of mind knowing you have internet/data everywhere you go! Northbound provided clear instructions for pick up and drop off and the employees that helped us were so friendly and kind. We will not hesitate to rent with Northbound again on our next trip to Iceland!

Everything went smoothly, the car was great. We enjoyed Island moving and visiting all the time and we found no problem with the car or with Ring ! Recommend this Agency :)

Really good experience! The car was clean and perfect for safety and care. The Star Car staff is friendly and easygoing!

Good car. Convenient for South part of route #1. Some startup difficulties with connecting the gsm navigation on the car display. Also auto headlight turn off and reset milage of the car was troublesome. A short 1 page manual for ghis would be helpfull. Pick up at airport took too long and was confusing due to contrdictory instructions. Checking in was fine.

We didn't get the Yaris but instead had an MG which was a comfortable drive and good size but had some very random behaviours

2022 Suzuki Jimny was perfect for the Icelandic roads. It was in a really good mechanical condition and clean, nothing really to complain about. Renting process was clear and straightforward.

Jimny is great car for driving around iceland. Especially for solo travelers on the budget . Because in case of bad weather you can always sleep inside, there is much of space. To be honest you don’t need nothing more.
