Car Rentals in Iceland

The camper van was exactly what we hoped for, and we loved being able to easily compare the many rental options in Iceland.

This was amazing.. it was everything we needed. It was very cozy and great on fuel .. Cheap campervans is an amazing company to deal with, very friendly and helpful . I will definitely be using them then I go back to iceland next summer!

If you are looking to rent a van in Iceland, I would definitely recommend going through Northbound. I used Northbound to book a Happy Campers van and I could not have had a better experience!

Everything was great, the only thing you could improve would be by explaining something about the vehicle whet the people arrive, like how to turn the heating on or where is the plug for the water pump… when we get there the guy just gave us the keys and went away, since most people choose this way to explore Iceland is probable that they don’t have enough experience to know about these things

The car was good, very little used and in good condition.

The car was of 2019 (not 2021 as mentioned in reservation). The dropoff was not Good (wait for more thank 30 minutes at the agency for the return at the airport).

Process of picking up and returning the vehicle was straightforward. The infographics given with regards to what the insurance did not cover, ways to pay for parking etc were especially helpful as well

I was confused upon arrival because I was looking for a. Northbound sing for the pick up, but the guy who picked us up had a sign of go Iceland. But anyway the guy was around and I asked and he explained. Your staff was ok and very efficient, but they seem they don’t enjoy their jobs very much. A smile in costumer service goes a long way.

Everything was great. The car was in excellent condition and perfect for the road due to the constant changes in the weather. The Northbound and the Star Car Rental is the best choice.

We did not recognize the shuttle bus in the beginning since there is no LAVA car rental information on it. Took a while to get to their office. Other than this, everything was smooth and the car with 98xxx km when we got it was in good condition and we had no issue during the entire trip.

I really enjoyed the rental and the costumer service. The side door of the car wasn’t sealed when closed which resulted in some very serious cold sleeping conditions. When I on the second day found out that the rubber list was “loose”, I stuffed the gabs with a T-shirt. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend you anytime ☺️

BEAUTIFUL EXEPERINCE WITH MYCAR !!!

We were not happy when we arrived, we waited more than an hour before we were picked up at the airport! I phoned twice, but that didn't help. The car was okay and the trasfer after dropping ofg the car was fast.

I like the car, it went perfect the whole trip (18 days). I have nothing to complain about the car. My complain is on the customer service and their portable wifi. The problems I had are as follows: 1. The shuttle bus didnt come within 10 minutes as promised in the website. I tried to call the customer service but nobody picked up the phone. We have to take a taxi to their office and wasted 25 EUR because of this. Totally avoidable if they can be reached by phone 2. The explanation during the car handover is very basic, I have to learn all by myself. I subscribed to supercharger (upfront charging fee for 18 days), and they told me nothing about charging provider like On and Isorka, nor how to charge it (they only gave me the keys). Again, I have to google everything by myself later on. 3. Portable wifi's battery is very poor, 3 hours max. I ended up buying eSIM. 4. The customer service again didnt reply to my email and my call when I had questions about returning the car. Calling them few times on working hours but nobody picked up the phone. Luckily the process run smoothly
