Outstanding!

My experience with Lava Auto Car Rental was great. The airport pick up was awesomely convenient (even though our flight was delayed and we have arrived well after midnight) as well as the airport drop off at the end of our trip. The car we rented Dacia Duster was reliable and we have not experienced any issues while traveling ~ 3000km. The Lava Auto Car Rental office is also conveniently located close to the Keflavik airport. Overall based on our experience I would strongly recommend the Lava Car Hire as well as Northbound who seamlessly arranged all requirements.

Good car - tough little guy actually. A bit chilly in the rooftop tent but expected in Iceland. Good service when we had an issue.

Outstanding!

We didn’t get a RAV4, but a Mitsubishi Outlander. It was brand new and all right to drive. Ivar who was our contact person was kind and reliable and everything went perfect. We are truly satisfied with the booking that we had to change and everything was easy and effortless. Very good service.

Outstanding!

Rental worked out well. Great team that made sure we got to the van and on our way. Had an issue with the van GPS finding a map of Iceland but they gave us a mobile WiFi to use instead. Made getting around Iceland a breeze. Would recommend IceRental and would rent from them again in the future.

Outstanding!

Lava Auto Rentals was a good value compared to the largest firms. The location was convenient, very close to the airport. The 4wd vehicles are new and clean. I liked having the bundle option to combine all the insurance coverage together in one, easy to understand description at a reduced price compared to purchasing individually. No issues happened during our one week rental. They dropped us back off to the airport in no time. Great experience with Northbound and Lava Rentals.

Very good. I think it was my fault, but I would have liked to have the pick-up at the ship pier better understood. I did not know where or when to wait for the pick-up . Everything went well and we enjoyed ourselves.

My experience was good--the staff seemed a little overwhelmed when we showed up, and we were initially given a manual car after booking an automatic. However, the person at the counter was able to remedy the error. The rental worked out well.
