We really appreciates its comfort and certainly is engine power that was enough strong to bring us up where we want to go

All in all things went well. Return went a lot smoother than pickup. Had to wait a long time to be driven to pickup location. Then had to wait again for access to vehicle. Lady made us feel that any scratch would be charged against us. So wasn't the best starting experience!

I had a very good experience with renting an AutoCamper from Touring Cars. Everything went smooth - from booking, pick up, introduction to car, return... No problems anywhere. Good service everywhere! The car was in a good condition. I liked the pickup service in the airport, where we were met by Touring Cars staff on the agreed time and place. They took us to their site and gave a very good introduction to the car and what we needed to know about driving in Iceland. Returning the car was done in 5 minuttes at EuroCar in the Airport (as Touring Cars office were not yet open). I can recommend Tourig Cars.

My husband & I had a fabulous time. Our RV had low miles, good tires, and handled beautifully. We explored over 1000 miles in less than two tanks of gas. The camper was clean & spacious and the heater & bed linens kept us toasty. The Wi Fi was an unexpected bonus and the ipad with important apps made our exploring safe & easy. Pick up & drop off from airport was simple and the checkin and checkout took less than an hour each. Only a few mechanical problems- our first night our electric cable had the incorrect adapter & did not work. The camp host loaned us one until a new one was delivered within a few hours. Second, the Pioneer dashboard magnifying display never worked, despite the service dept videoing us on WhatsApp to help troubleshoot the problem. Third, notifications appeared alerting us to faulty water sensors on day 3. Customer service called us back and helped us reset, assuring us it happens often. Everyone was friendly and very helpful.

Our family of 4 including 2 adults and 2 daughters ages 12,14 loved the campervan. The van had everything we needed to tour Iceland, and it is so convenient to stay overnight where you are and prepare meals, etc, rather than going to hotels, retaurants, and all that.

I wanted to share that our experience was really good with Northbound, and the RV rented from Touring Cars. Everything worked as provided and indicated. The RV was in very good condition, a bit older but everything was in good working order. Instructions on how to use the RV and facilities was good enough. I think that the service could be taken to a new level by doing two things. One is to produce a short video with how to use the different amenities that the RV has, specially for novices or people that are trying camping and RV for the first time, as it was our case...how to do the gas container change, the toilet cleaning. This combined with a short video to intro how the Camping Sites and facilites work in Iceland. The second thing that merits some consideration is a better explanation of the systems and conditions used to provide the right insurance. It was a bit confusing for us initially, as we did not understand that there was the option of buying the insurance from Rental Cover (Third party) or directly from Touring Cars, and the coverage and required payments should be better explained.

We LOVED our camper. We named her Saga as she has stories to tell about our adventure. Saga provided comfort and convenience during our 2 week trip around Iceland. Having a camper to stop anywhere we liked for meals and was a cozy refuge on cold, wet nights. Our camper was in excellent condition and well equipped. We appreciated the extra perks of having an tablet to help navigate and table and chairs to have picnics outdoors. The staff were great to work with both before and during our tip - right from the shuttle bus from the airport to drop off at our hotel in Keflavik. Would definitely recommend Northbound and traveling with a camper.

The vehicle was good overall. It was brand new. Most things worked great but the water heater was not reliable. We found no benefit in paying for an electrical hookup and used the batteries only. It would have been helpful to have received a complete list of the equipment in the vehicle, such as the equipment in the kitchen, that we would have towels and that we would receive a tablet with unlimited internet that could also serve as a Wi-Fi router.
