Outstanding!

This was a fantastic experience. Easy to find the shuttle and get to the rental place. The car was clean and drove well. No issues. They even got us back to the airport quickly even though our flight was an early one.

Good

We received an upgrade to a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, which was nice because it was one size bigger. The vehicle already had ca. 130k km and had some visible damages. However, technically it was in very good shape and brought us safely around Iceland. The return was smooth and fast.

Outstanding!

Car pick-up took a bit longer which was essentially my fault. Never had such an easy drop-off before. The car had little maintenance issues including worn out tyres at the front (partially no profile left) and borderline wiper blades. Apart from that it was excellent and an ideal fit for Icelandic roads.

Most everything went fine. The 1st suggestion is that spare batteries for fobs always be kept in the car with instructions on how to install the battery (from opening the fob to removing the sticker on the battery so that it will work). Lastly, and this is a question, what if the fob requires a battery that is not easily findable? To make a long story short, I thought I was in this situation. I was looking at the wrong model of Tesla, but, still, the N1 gas station did not carry that lithium battery type. Lastly, a video was a nice touch to show where to get picked up. But I find maps to be much easier to digest. Many things in the Kef airport look the same so a video didn't help that much. It helped some but not as much one would have helped.
