Excellent

The van satisfied all of our needs and was very comfortable. We slept well every night and the van was excellent getting us to all the places we needed. My only complaint would be that the van had no cruise control which would've been very helpful with the slow speed limits in Iceland. Other than that we loved everything else.

Outstanding!

Everything went as smooth as I could have possibly wished for. I hose to get the car dropped off at my hotel, I paid and could drive away instantly. After my 8 day trip without any issues, returning the car was equally easy. Drove to the village next to the airport, handed over the keys and that was it. So all in all not a single complaint, would definitely recommend.

Good

We were pretty satisfied with our rental. I emailed ahead of time to ask for a recommendation for a car that would fit our family of five and be comfortable at as low a cost as possible and the Hyundai i20 worked very well for that. Our only issues were that the person who was at the airport to pick us up did not bring a car large enough to transport our whole group to the Star Car Rental offices so my husband had to go with him while the rest of us waited at the airport. Also our wifi stopped working midway through our rental and we had a few days without it before it was working again due to the time lag between emails. The Star Rental Company did fix it however once we got our emails back and forth and the car was comfortable and performed well for us. We were able to return our car to the airport parking lot and leave the keys in the car without having to meet anyone for paperwork so that was very convenient. Overall a good experience. Be prepared to leave a deposit when checking out the car.

Excellent

The Car was perfect and drove smooth during the whole trip! Webasto heating was very helpful during cold nights, though it was quite loud. As the walls of the car are not isolated, it would be very good to add two strings with curtains on the sides (like in the front and back). We did this ourselves and hung up our towels during nights. That helped a lot to stay warm and cozy. The only other problem were the blankets. We did not bring sleeping bags but only inlets as it was stated that blankets are available. So the Iceland Air blankets would have been all if we wouldn't have asked for another blanket. Still that was not enough, so we bought real blankets after the first night. Please do not say that blankets are inlcuded if these small ones are everything that is available. Or add a note that the customer should bring a sleeping bag. The pick up service and rental was perfect! Great job and nice people. Cheers

Outstanding!

Our initially booked Dacia Dokker was replaced (upgraded) with Toyota Proace, which was actually a very nice and well appreciated surprise. We had a great experience with this campervan in all aspects (driving and camping), it was very convenient and reliable vehicle. Also communication and organization wise, we are very thankful to the teams of Northbound and Star Car Rental! Based on this positive experience, it is quite probable to repeat the trip in next few years.

Great experience, from pick-up to delivery. Brand new van, with barely 20,000 km, in mint condition. Everything else was as stated in their website. Would definitely rely on them again.

Outstanding!

I could not say enough positive things about this company. 1. Although they do not open until 6am, they saw our flight was in at 445, and picked us up at 5am, instead of 6. 2. Pick us up from baggage claim and a name on a card so we knew exactly where to go. 3. Quickly showed us our camper, gave us a few points for us to know about Iceland and we were on our way. 4. Drop off was less than 5 mins and they took us to the airport. No stress. 5. Everything in the camper worked as promised and was laid out in a comvient way. 6. I asked questions via email and they responded quickly, and was very nice. 7. All the people we talked to were all very kind and helpful people. The only thing that wasn’t included that we needed was a sleeping bag or blankets. We found a store once we got in to Reykjavík and bought blankets for 15.00 or make use you pick the sleeping bag add on. I would highly highly highly recommend this company.

The car was good quality (for a 2 year, ~120k km usage of a 4x4 used of frequent rough terrain travel), very clean and clearly neatly cared for by the rental agent. All communication and interactions with the agents were top notch, very friendly, informative, professional and quick.
