The car rental went really good. I was a bit disappointed at first with the car arriving with 50 minutes delay at the pick up point. But the agents at the office made offered spontaneously compensation such a wifi hotspot for the car and flexibility when dropping off the car. Good experience and warm reception at the office

This was a great affordable van for a 10 day roadtrip around Iceland. It was cheaper than other options therefore didn’t have all the bells and whistles, but had everything you needed to cook, sleep and drive comfortably! Pick up and return were seamless and the staff was very helpful. Everything went smooth. I have already recommended this exact van to my friend.

We experienced several issues with the car during our trip: A connector was disconnected and got stuck in the car’s fan. Fortunately, we were able to identify where to reconnect it. The engine oil was at the minimum level, so we had to add more. Two warning lights came on during the trip: one for emissions (pollution) and another for the hill-start assist system. Each time we contacted support, but we had to deal with that while traveling. One of the attachments for the tent roof protection was broken. Please ensure this is checked and repaired before the next rental. We feel it is not normal to encounter so many problems within just the first two days. Although we did not experience a complete breakdown (apart from the disconnected connector, which we fixed ourselves), these issues made us lose confidence in the car. We also want to raise a concern about the instructions for the rooftop tent. Since the flight was delayed, we picked up the car using the key in the key box, which was very convenient. However, no instructions for the tent were provided at pick-up. We had to contact support and only then received the video instructions by email. On a positive note, we were satisfied with the pick-up and return process of the car.

The car itself was very good and perfectly suited for the Ring Road. However, the requirement to use a credit card (and not a debit card) in order to avoid paying extra insurance is unreasonable. My card was not accepted, even though I always use it as a credit card in Europe, and the price increased dramatically as a result. This unexpected cost was not included in my budget and it disrupted my entire trip. Bad experience...

As our first time renting a camper van, Northbound offered some reasonably priced options. The idea was to go for a less traditional route anyway, so the provided camping materials along with the rental was cool. Two adults slept comfortably in the van, but three as advertised would have been too tight. My only real complaint is how long we waited for pickup at the Keflavik arrivals area. We were told a driver would be available every 20-30 minutes, and we ended up waiting for more than an hour for a driver to arrive. Once he showed up, the rest was relatively smooth sailing.

The van was clearly requiring maintenance especially the brakes which were very noisy and we felt not really safe when driving on some steep read.

Overall very happy my rental. Unfortunately, had to wait a very long time to pick-up the car.

It was perfect. the car, the service. we are very setisfied. just waiting for them to release the 2500 euro they kept.
