Little confusion at the pickup re vehicle availability at Lava. However the staff were very helpful and sorted this much to our satisfaction and were very pleasant to deal with and accommodating. Dropoff went smoothly and the friendliness and assistance of the staff at 5am on a wet keflavik morning is to be commended!

We had a great experience with the car and the rental process. Everything was easy and the car was perfect for our family of 4. It was spacious and it had all the amenities that we needed for the trip. It also does not consume too much gas which was great since we drove a lot through the south of Iceland.

Lava rental services are brilliant, hassle free. The staff are very friendly and patient to answer all of our questions. It’s the best rental experience we had so far! Highly recommended

I really enjoyed smooth driving all over Iceland in the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Having never driven a hybrid car before, I was impressed with how long the gas lasted while the car was in electric gas saving mode. However, before leaving the rental shop I would ask for help on how to recharge the battery and pumping gas, even though it’s not impossible to figure out. The car rental agents were polite and very helpful and I would strongly recommend renting out the wifi hub device because having constant reliable wifi throughout the country was essential. Overall, the car provided safety and comfort for me and all my passengers. I had a really great experience and I will be back to do it again in the later future! Also, I tried calling 5 times and I could never get through to the office so I always had to leave an email message. It would have been helpful during the times I struggled with charging. Also, the tank was half full and the onus was on me to prove that it was half and not 100% full but it was worked out. They asked me for a photo. i assumed it was full tank and when it was not and i filled it, i forgot to to take a photo.

The car is fuel efficient and comfortable to drive. My family of 6, sits comfortably well throughout our daily journey.

It was small but ok, it performed all disered tasks. For a bigger person I think it‘ll get very cramped. The tank is a bit small though and the warning light that the tank is nearly empty comes on very late, so that we got stranded once.

It was great! Perfect for what I needed.
