Fantastic!

The rental was perfect and we sure did need it traversing the snowy and icy roads of Iceland. The shuttle from the airport was timely. Check-in was easy and the staff were thorough when reviewing the condition of the vehicle. Drop-off was fast. All staff were kind and courteous. We were thoroughly impressed with the overall experience.

great vehicle and cost! Lotus did not make it clear that in Iceland parking tickets are verified by cameras, meaning that if you miss them (likely bc we are tourists and not always aware of these things) then there will be an additional charge by the parking and a processing fee of 2000kr. If they had made that more clear we would've been ore aware and likely never had this happen! We were charged ~10,000kr in parking and processing, which was a huge unexpected cost. otherwise, very happy with using Northbound but felt taken advantage of from Lotus

Great

The car was very well equipped for the journey around Iceland. It had a stone chip on the windshield right from the start but that wasn't a big issue. All processes went very well and easy.

I really enjoyed driving the Jimny. It reminded me of simple little cars from the 1980’s! The only thing that we didn’t like was the luggage cage bolted right behind the seats. It was more of a nuisance than anything else. Otherwise we had fun with great fuel economy and no problems.

I have to say that everything went really ok. The 4x4 is a must, to have a full freedom in your wonderful land! I have been convinced to move from standard to platinum: despite not necessary as all went well, I strongly suggest to subscribe for it, it keeps you so easy and safe that you enjoy even more the trip. Customers should understand that, for a road trip as we did (moving base location each two days) the car becomes a sort of moving home! The only remark is related to tires: a bit worn and slippery but, from a certain point of view even more amusing ( I’m an off-road instructor…). Thanks to Lotus for the quality of cars and a special thank to the service and support provided by you efficient and kind personnel!
