Fantastic!

Everything was great, except that the heating system did not work. We also called your helpline, but as we were already pretty far from Reykjavik, there was not much to do. We did try several solutions with the person that was on the phone, but did not get it to work. There was a small electric heat blower in the car, so we used that. The only problem was, that if it was on the maximum for a bit longer, it smelled a bit, so we kept it on low at night and it was definitely a bit cold at night. We slept in the van for two nights and went to a hotel for another two.

Rear seat mechanism broken. We had to turn around the next day to replace the VAN. Windshield wiper of the new van very noisy and dis not clean properly Oil level problem with a constant message asking us to return to the workshop which was stressful all week. USB port and power outlet did not work in the back, van needed check up belote rental... Very cold front desk salesperson. No apologies for the problems encountered. Very pleasant vehicle to drive.

Outstanding!

I had a fantastic time in Iceland and I couldn’t have done it without northbound. They made everything to easy. My experience with the rental camper was wonderful. When I come back to Iceland I will definitely be booking with northbound again

Everything went amazingly with renting a 5-person camper van through Northbound/Rent.is for our recent trip to Iceland. Since it is a newer company, we were a little nervous, but everything worked our great from being greeted at the airport, to our amazingly well-stocked van, to a fast return process. I can't imagine having seen Iceland any other way. It isn't always easy to travel as a family of five, but this van fit the bill, allowing us to spend less expense on lodging with the benefit of more time for adventure. We didn't ever figure out how to use the advertised free Wi-Fi on-board, but luckily we had a great data signal most places.

Excellent

I'd rate my rental 4.5 stars. My wife and I rented a camper van for a week long Ring Road trip. The van was good enough for what we needed. Pretty basic but it provided everything we needed for the trip. There was an electric cooler, a heater, an electric cable for plugging it at camp sites, 3 pillows and sleeping bags, and cookwear (pots, pans, bowls, silverware, utentils, etc.). The most clutch thing was the free wifi device which saved me from having to use an international cell service plan. My only issue with the vehicle is that it smelled a bit weird (almost like a wet, stale smell) when windows were opened and air was circulating. It wasn't present when the windows were rolled up which was weird. We waited a little long at the airport and weren't 100% sure when the ride was going to come, but the driver was super friendly and informative. Overall I'd recommend renting through northbound.
