Car Rentals in Iceland

Iceland is truly incredible and the hire car was sensational. I would just like to make a suggestion to you, in relation to making life easier for those who are going to rent a campervan, for example, we were not offered the gas for the cooker, we were provided with a separate cooker with only one nozzle, you could sell the option of giving a full gas to be used in the van. Offer a cleaning kit, such as a small broom, cloth or something like that, so that we can clean the inside of the van during use and for delivery and finally, include the interior items in the insurance, it was said that everything was very fragile and expensive, we practically didn't touch anything inside the van for fear of breaking. But in the end, the experience was good, just this pints for improvement.

Car was good for us. Only problem was drop off as the person who was to take us to the airport, didn't have the keys. He drove us there in the car we rented. I just never received any confirmation that the car was returned and all was OK. I assume it was I didn't hear anything?

Everything we need the office provides at the car, even in minimums details.

Good car. Convenient for South part of route #1. Some startup difficulties with connecting the gsm navigation on the car display. Also auto headlight turn off and reset milage of the car was troublesome. A short 1 page manual for ghis would be helpfull. Pick up at airport took too long and was confusing due to contrdictory instructions. Checking in was fine.

We didn't get the Yaris but instead had an MG which was a comfortable drive and good size but had some very random behaviours

I loved Northbound the car company, IceRental 4x4, was so lovely and helpful. I had an easy ride through the ring road. I also used the sleeping bags from the company and found they were clean and great quality, kept me warm on the island!

The pick up experience was unpleasant. We waited for over an hour at the airport. We called IceRental several times with no answer. The first car they gave us, the USB outlet didn’t work to charge the phone. We had to get a new car. The USB worked to charge, but despite the car saying it had apple play, this didn’t work. Since there was no navigation system in the car, this made driving around difficult. Otherwise, the car was fine and the staff was nice.

Amazing experience! The van worked perfectly for our trip.

Everything was great with our rental car for our trip to Iceland. The car was exactly what we reserved, it was clean when we picked it up, the shuttle drivers were both friendly, and so were the office associates. Super-fast (compared to other rental agencies) check-in/out at the desk, too. I would highly recommend using GO Car Rental.

Great experience ! Easy pick up and drop off. We were a little confused initially about identifying our driver at the airport but that was cause we just missed them by a few minutes and they returned shortly after to pick us up. Otherwise we had an absolutely amazing experience doing car top tent camping around the Ring Road for our first visit to Iceland. We got extremely lucky and blessed with a week’s worth of sunny weather, could not be better !

The car was perfect for iceland maybe a little bit more power and better wheels but at least perfect 💪🏽

Staying and driving the 2019 Volkswagen Transporter from Camp easy was the best best car rental and accommodation experience that my girlfriend and I have ever experienced. The process in working with both Northbound and Camp East was very professional, to the point, and easy. The quality of the van provided was very nice and the time spent exploring Iceland was made very convenient due to all of the descriptions mentioned above. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.

Hi, you gave us a dacia duster with a little crack on the front glass. After 1,5 days, this little crack, because of the difference of temperature between inside and outside became a crack long circa like all the front glass a d we canmt use the heat no more. So, the last 3,5 days were cold in the car (cause we can’t use the heat in order to not the situation get worse) and your staff answered that giving s car with a crack on the front glass is normal in iceland and that I have to use that car with the bigger crack till the last day (this obscured my vision as well as not allowing me to use the heat). Next time I’ll be more attentive and I’ll reclaim an intact car if the way of working is like this. Not satisfied, the expense is not worth the service.
