The rental process was seamless and the vehicle was great for my trip.

The vehicle had damage to the outside passenger tire area and a cracked front windshield upon pickup. Inside, the screen door to the side RV door was constantly falling out of the track despite the rudimentary repair by duct tape noted upon pickup. That evening, mold was noticed beneath the mattresses in the cab overhead sleeping compartment and in the rear compartment as well. Finally, it was the consensus of our group that given the brief and somewhat inaccurate description of the heating mechanicals upon pickup, a manual covering all aspects of the vehicle, as well as a online reference to finding RV sites would have been very helpful.

I had a very enjoyable and adventurous trip exploring Iceland with the Duster from Go Iceland. I can definitely recommend using Northbound for renting a car. They even sent me weather updates warning of possible road closures due to stormy conditions.

I'd rate my rental 4.5 stars. My wife and I rented a camper van for a week long Ring Road trip. The van was good enough for what we needed. Pretty basic but it provided everything we needed for the trip. There was an electric cooler, a heater, an electric cable for plugging it at camp sites, 3 pillows and sleeping bags, and cookwear (pots, pans, bowls, silverware, utentils, etc.). The most clutch thing was the free wifi device which saved me from having to use an international cell service plan. My only issue with the vehicle is that it smelled a bit weird (almost like a wet, stale smell) when windows were opened and air was circulating. It wasn't present when the windows were rolled up which was weird. We waited a little long at the airport and weren't 100% sure when the ride was going to come, but the driver was super friendly and informative. Overall I'd recommend renting through northbound.

It was a great car and worked well with our road trip. The service was easy to get picked up by an agent at the airport and get the car and the drop off.

Great service and value! I highly recommend this company. We rented a 4WD vehicle for two weeks. Pick up and drop off at the airport, perfectly timed, quickly on the road with friendly service. Really appreciated valuable advice about parking tickets, full wind shield fuid, a large bottle of water, and a clean vehicle with good winter tires all made the start of our trip easy. Renting at off airport site locations as there are no line ups and the vehicle does not have to be found in a large parking lot. Cheaper, better service and faster onto the road. A wonderful start to a great trip! Thank you!

The entire vehicle rental process went very smoothly. The personnel renting the vehicle to me was very professional and always asked if I had any questions on the rental. He offered additional information (such as the discount fob for gasoline fill-ups as well as the APP to install on your CELL phone making it so easy to pay for parking in the metered spaces as well as the various attraction parking lots). What great information. This company is so people oriented! Great place to rent a vehicle.

Everything was fine except their pick-up point was the "Meeting Area" at the airport while others were in a different area of the Arrivals Hall which was conusing and caused delays. This should be indicated on the literature you provide at booking.

The car was nice. I was disappointed that the comprehensive insurance that I purchased did not cover everything. The plastic engine cover underneath the car fell off a week into the trip. We were on the 26 road going to Vik. The cover fell off. I had to pull over on the side of the road and pick it up. I carried it a round for a week in the car. When I returned the car I was charged another $126 dollars for the part. I was disappointed that the full coverage did not cover this. Other than that the car worked out nicely.
