Good
The car was ok, but you rent a 4x4 and your staff said me that I can not go in water ???
Very surprise
And the caution of 2500 € is a problem because I can use my card until 5000€ and I was bloked after a week in Iceland

My experience with Northbound was great. Everything was fast and we had a good service. Would recommend to anyone who wants to rent a car. The only thing is that the Suzuki Jimny had some minor repairs to do, like the steering (it was shaking a little bit).

Outstanding!
We Booked 3 Cars from Northern Lights (Via Northbound Website). Our Cars were Booked for 10days. Instead of Kia Sportage we got 3 Brand new cars - Suzuki S-Cross . Must say the Cars were really good . We had a Very good trip . Airport Pick up - Check in and Check out Process was very Easy . Even the staff Specially AV and colleague during check out were very helpful they dropped us back to our Hotel too . I Would Highly recommend this company , But all travellers Please Kindly take Insurance covers seriously , Pay a little more but get yourself Covered Properly. We travelled Almost 2500-2600kms . Thanks God we were safe and No Mishaps.

I had to cancel my booking for a 4x4.
We were supposed to do a family trip in Island from the 20th of june to the 30th.
But, the first day of the trip (the 21st of june) we received a phone call from home. My mother died.
So, we went back to France immediately and canceled the trip.
Finally we returned the car the 22nd of June in the morning instead of the 29th.

Nice time for me in Iceland but bit problem about rental car cause u staff not check car by carefully such as a glass and the headlight or some is broke but i take video clip before i out from rental company and about fee service tolls is charge me double for service fee then i think i not happy for this really

Great car! Iceland was an easy country to drive in despite the weather changes throughout our trip. We purchased the gps, however you would always have to put the address of the place not just the name which was a little annoying since we knew most of the sights by their name bot address. Everything else was excellent! The guys were very helpful and on tie! Love the service.

Friendly people, good service. I even returned the car later after checking with them and they drove me to my hotel afterwards. Very good service! The car was good and reliable. A faster car would not make sense in Iceland anyway because of 90 km/h max speed.

Overall good experience - pick-up at the airport was on-time, and the rental process overall was very smooth and easy. The car itself ran and did it's job, though it did have a couple of concerning noises while driving in certain conditions. The tent held up as well as a single-walled tent can (some water got in while it was set-up in rainy weather) but held up to wind very well. We had to get a jump start at the very beginning of the trip, but they sent someone out very promptly and then inspected the car before sending us on our way. The return process was also easy, though having the top-level insurance probably helped. Would probably rent again.

Northbound provided a very good service, the booking process was easy, queries were answered very promptly, instructions for pick up and return were clear, the price compared with Icelandic car rentals generally was good value.
Northern Lights Car Rental also performed very well, the procedure at pick up and return was as had been described and quick. The car was in very good condition and exactly what we needed. Generally a completely trouble free experience.

We loved our car. (they upgraded us to a Honda CR-V, no idea which year) We'll tell all our friends about our wonderful time in Iceland, but in reality, none of that could have happened without our reliable and cute car.

Good service. Friendly staff. They come into the airport with a company sign to pick you up. No worries about them finding you. The car lot is a short 10 minute ride. They have a large comfortable pick up van.

Everything went great! An awesome trip throughout the West Fjords. The vehicle and roof tent were very, very reliable. I had to change my pick up days and times a few times and Thornis made it very easy and made the changes very fast. I will definitely be using Northbound again next year!

The roof tent was stable, functionable, good to handle and windproof. We've been satisfied with it.
Car was not the newest but did what was necessary.
Everything went well with the service and the shuttle from and to the airport. People at the rental agency were friendly and explained everything.

Car rental was fine. We found driving a bit challenging since your speeds are lower and keep changing and are often not well marked. We had no issues but there are a bunch of bad stories on car rentals there so we'd recommend keeping the damage sheet and getting it signed at the end for peace of mind. Offering that will make people feel more comfortable as it is standard in the States. It's a beautiful country. Our daughter was married at Loftahellir Cave.

it's a great car if you care about moving around and getting to many places hard to reach, than some incredible comfort. however, the car full fills all expectations, 4x4, radio, air conditioning, bluetooth, not much more than 5,6l / 100km on the road and it has cruise control, which was a very convenient option.
So it is a really cool car on the road and on more demanding roads. it may not be used to cross rivers, but I felt safe on rough roads.

The Duster was great. Plenty of room for luggage and people. Did pretty good on gas. We did the Ring road with stops all the way around. Northern Lights was great to work with - would use them again!
