Arctic Car Rental in Iceland

In general good service . They were present at the airport timely even if I arrived late in the night. Car , Suzuky Gran Vitara was in good conditions. Currently nothing to complain , good service . Car was provided by Arctic , however everythnig was fine . Good customer service , quick answer during the reservation and when I asked to change the car model and for the upgrade of the insurance . Not sure to get the best price :( however I am satisfied of the service and quality . I think that I will book again with your company ..why not ? Thanks Marco

Everything was very good. Even if we had to change our pick-up time due to flight cancellation, the agent came at the new arrival time with our car, which was very clean and in good condition. He explained everything and made sure everything was clear to us and OK. We didn't have any trouble during our trip and the car run well on all the roads. It was a good experience overall.

Easy online rental. There was no correspondence during the 6 months between reserving the vehicle and the day of the reservation, however Northbound showed up at our hotel on-time and everything was as outlined in the reservation. The drop off and pick up of the rental at our hotel was very convenient. I would rent from Northbound again.

very good car and services ! This 4x4 can go everywhere (except the passages through ford) and was really pleasant to drive and do a global tour of the island.

We had rented a Dacia Duster for 8 days in Iceland for three people and the car along with customer service were both fantastic. Runar was able to adjust our pickup time with short notice due to an adjustment in our plans along with update the quantity of drivers on the plan. The car was waiting right outside the airport upon arrival with a full tank of fuel and little paperwork to fill out before we were off and going. The car performed great and provided fantastic fuel economy with the manual transmission diesel drivetrain. Dropoff was also a breeze with simply parking the car at the airport and notifying arctic car rental where it was parked. Overall a fantastic experience.

I appreciated the clean and dependable car I was provided by Arctic Car Rental. We were picked up at the airport right after picking up our bags (as promised), we were given sound instructions and tips, and drop off at the end of the trip was easy. So nice to work with a small, family-owned company.

The car we booked was good enough for doing main roads (R1) and we had enough place for our 4 big bags in the trunk. Someone waited for us in the airport at arrival and at the end we parked the car at a parking lot at walking distance for departure so perfect. The only working point is the GPS which was from Garmin. He needed an update because we couldnt find a lot of places but after all no problem. Roaming was cheap and we perfectly found our destinations with google maps. So after all great experience and "cheap" and trustable company to book a car in Iceland!

Great service, we got the expected car as we book. Northbound staff support super fast. Pick-up and return was super easy, Arctic guy did tell all about the car and some regulation for driving in Iceland. On returning, we just drop car at hotel and left key inside. We have no case of accident, very smooth drive through 15 days in Iceland Super easy process more than I expected.

We had a smooth and trouble-free experience renting from Arctic. We were met after clearing customs after a long delay waiting for baggage, taken to our car, and given some helpful advice re: driving in Iceland. The car was clean, damage-free, and ran well. No mechanical or maintenance issues in driving about 2000 km. Drop off was easy. Nice to rent from a local company rather than one of the multi-nationals.

The whole service from the beginning to the end was straight forward and simple. Everything went on as offered (1st time I got the same car I booked on line :-) Car itself - perfect for couple - easy in driving, a bit slow on highways but strong - we went through off-roads and Jimmy make it.

My experience with northbound car rental in Iceland was fantastic. The car experience a technical issue and I addressed it with the staff and they brought me a new car immediately. I traveled The entire country with it and had no further problems. I would rent from northbound again .

Everything went very well with the rental process, the Suzuki Jimny on the other hand, not so sure about. This vehicle does what it's suppose to do but doesn't handle well at high speed in windy conditions. I would recommend a different vehicle for a less experience driver.

We were met at the airport by a representative who then took us to our car, told us everything we needed to know about the car and where to return it. I was completely satisfied with the experience, the car's quality, and the price.

Excellent, great. Recieved a small upgrade (Dacia - Duster to Nissan - Qashqai) under the same conditions. Car was delivered on the airport and a full explantion (speed limits, off-road driving, ...) was given. Car was in an excellent state, we really enjoyed it.

The agency Arctic Car was very friendly and there was no problem with them. Northbound service was great as well. However, the car was i) a fairly used and old model (177'000 km), the state of care was not good. The car was not cleaned on the insdide, the windshield wipers were not functioning ( I bought new ones which will get refunded by Arctic car), and the electronics were not functioning properly with low gasoline levels in the tank.

Good service and advice

Arctic Car rental was great, a person from the car rental met us around 5 am. No complains about the car or the rental experience. I was assuming the car had GPS (from what i believed when i booked) but it was not there and dropping the car back was not easy as the parking lot was full. I called them back to confirm that i left the car in the another row. I think if they had given the map for parking and also marked the rows that you can park with instructions to leave the keys, it would have been great.

Great Service! Good car. Have been picked up by the agent when leaving the gate. Car was in front of the terminal. Effortless paperwork, car in good condition and according to discription. Easy to return. Thumbs up!
