MYCAR in Iceland

We had some issues with the car. I requested before departure making sure the van was the longest version so that all of the luggage could be transported. Arriving in Reykjavik it appeared to be a shorter version, which lead to problems with the luggage. Also the space inside the vehicle was quite limited and at the end of the week some problems came up because the van was too heavily loaded. So all in all it was not meant for the use advertised on the website (9 persons with luggage).

Pick up and drop up went smoothly...the Rav 4 met our needs, and you followed through with your promise that the Rav 4 was the car we would get. I will use Northbound again.

The the 2023 Toyota Highlander was a good vehicle overall and being able to use android auto to navigate was helpful. The onboard navigation took us to the wrong location a few times so we ended up using google maps (downloaded the maps so could use offline) primarily. Had to clear the storage and cache for android auto a few times due to connection issues with the vehicle. Our biggest disappointment however was MYCAR rented us a vehicle with worn summer tires. We found ourselves on icy roads due due to snow, rain and freezing weather during our travels that made the roads slippery. It was a distressful situation wondering if we might slide off the road due to the tires. Noticed when we returned the vehicle that most of the 4x4's had been switched over to studded winter tires, really wish they would have done that for us before we headed out or at least asked us where we'd be going in order to know if we needed a vehicle with better tires especially since we'd have it for 2 weeks. We drove all the way around Iceland, mostly on the ring road but also ventured off it to explore other areas. We were there from Sep 28 to Oct 11.

Was very simple comparing rentals, insurance, dates was simple. Pickup and drop off at the airport was quick, friendly and easy. Will use again on my next trip to Iceland.

We rented AWD RAV Toyota from MyCar, and the whole experience was really good. Swift pickup at the airport (though they seem to have a hourly pickup so you may wait a moment) - and from there the whole experience was seamless. Within minutes we are on the road, had a lovely car and retuning the car was very simple too. If a permanent sign by all the rental companies - showing where the driver will meet them to pick them up is possible, that may alleviate some anxieties I saw on people's faces waiting for their various companies drivers.

The SUV worked well for our group of passengers with several pieces of luggage. It was economical and comfortable. However my only issue was the alignment of the tires was off the entire holiday. The steering wheel was at a complete 25degree angle making it w bit difficult to steer.

The car was just fine, powerful and spacious.

We loved the car! The service was also great. I would not recommend the GPS or Wi-Fi as we had our phones and Google maps worked better than GPS.

Thank you for providing an easy to use service and fair prices! It was so great to have a wide selection of vehicles to match our adventure and stick to our budget. The car was a perfect fit and the service was thorough and friendly, especially for driving in a new country.

Picked up exactly on time. Renting paper work was quick and correct. Staff were friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Car worked fine.

Car was comfortable and performed very well for us. Wagon had plenty of space for our luggage.

Good car for the F-Roads, of corse not for deep river crossings. But F225 was not a problem.

very friendly, very efficient service and around a third cheaper than other companies! I liked that we could pick the car up from the city and drop it off at the airport too.

Renting Toyota Land Cruiser Automatic from MYCAR was a great decision in our trip. With that car we could travel throght the F-Roads without any major issues. Including the F-249 and the Krossá river. If you want to explor the F-Roads, this car will be a great choice!

All went smooth, almost nothing to complain of. It served the purpose well. I checked the model in advance with Toyota rep. in Riga, made a test drive to be sure what to expect. Yes, It is a bit narrower compared to Renault Trafic,and we are slightly bigger than average EU nationals, we managed to find best comfort for everybody - 8 pax suits well, 9 would be quite a challenge. The only minus for specific van I got was - Rear wheel shock absorber- the back seat was customers were "dancing and jumping" on bumpy road ( when driver can not foresee uneveness in advance).

We were very happy with the representative from MYCAR. He provided a lot of information and was very service-minded. The car itself worked great and the entire experience was as smooth as we wanted. Only praise, no complaints.

Car was perfect. Never got into any snow. Car had lots of modern sensors that really helped out and the parking brake auto set may have keep us from seeing it drive off a cliff as we got out without putting it in park first . Our Privia does that and forgot too. Tires looked a bit low on tread. Car behaved very well in all condition

I chose to hire a car with Northbound as our trip in total would be over 3000 km and wanted to select a particular type of car. Northbound were very informative and kept me up to date with hire details and driving tips whilst in Iceland. The people at My Car were very professional and friendly and nothing was a problem, a really great experience overall. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Northbound to anybody that would like a timely professional service. Thank you

The Toyota Corolla cross is a good car for both on the regular roads as well as on the F-roads. Pick-up and return process at My car was easy

We've got this car during our holiday on Iceland ;) It was a very easy pickup and drop of near KEF via shuttle. The car was in a very good condition and clean (o.k., I've to clean the front window the next day from the inside...). The car is very economically, also you get a small discount at the fuel stations. Next time I'll choose again ;)

Pick-up and dropoff very quickly. Good information on pick-up about toll, parkings,... Upgrade to new vehicle 2023. Not pushy for extra assurances.
