The vehicle was well kitted out and in excellent condition for our 1 week driving holiday. The service from northbound and star car rental was perfect. I also appreciated that it wasn’t branded up like most camper vans.

We had a great service! shuttle service included. He answered all our question, the car was in a pretty good shape we had no probleme! We would have appreciated to have some duvet with our pillow tho! Was kindda cold since the car don't have heating system when it's not running. I recommande it .

Very good van, easy to drive with no experience, good performance in very bad weather. Spacious for 2 people. It would be a tight fit for 3 people. Need to bring your own sleeping bags.

Our experience with Northbound was perfect! Booking online was simple and their prices were very competitive. We were met at the airport by a very nice gentlemen who drove us a few minutes to the office where we completed the paperwork, got an explanation of the contract and rules of the road in Iceland and then got our car. It was brand new....only 35 km on the odometer! We drove the entire ring road over the course of 15 days and had absolutely no problems with the car. Everything was great! We dropped the car at a location near the airport and were given a ride to our terminal. When I return to Iceland (which I hope to do very soon) I will definitely rent from Northbound again.

Star Car rental, or Ace rental are two sister companies that do amazing car rental service. We were picked up from the airport and driven to the location. The Dacia Dokker we rented was actually brand new (no pressure on us or anything, haha) and only had about less than 100 kilometers on it. We wish the man we were dealing with explained a little bit more on what we were covered with, regarding insurance. But all was well, we only had about two chips on the back which was covered by gravel protection. The inspection was really quick and we were driven back to the airport. Great service and when we come back, we will use northbound, and Ace/Star car rental again!

The van was brand new, I think it had less than 100 km on it! Pick up was convenient and turn around time was good, we hit the tarmac at 6:30 am, got our Van and hit the road by 9 am. The young guy who navigated us through the paperwork was helpful and gave us tips about what to expect with weather and road conditions. He gave us some good tips about the vehicle and Iceland in general too. The car was great on gas, especially for doing a lot of mountain and dirt road driving. The wifi was ESSENTIAL, it was usually fast and could handle 3 of us, service wasn't perfect but much better than expected. We hadn't planned much of our trip before arriving. It was easy to look things up on our phones as we drove. We used our phones for navigation as well. The sleeping bags we rented were also brand new, they were rated for -10, our coldest night was -6 and we were all comfortable. The bin with a pot, pan, plates, burner, cleaning supplies etc. was enough to make meals and we didn't feel like we needed anything more. We were 3 average sized males, we fit fairly comfortably while driving. Sleeping was just enough room for 3 guys, we slept head to foot for a little more space, we had about 6 inches between each other. It was very easy to find campsites. Overall a very good experience, vehicle was reliable and rental was priced competitively.

It was the best ever! We rented a Dacia Dokker new with everything inside, the car was perfect, the trip was perfect. Everything was there like in the description. The campervan worked great for us. The heater kept us plenty warm and the car has an USB port to charge your phone.The dealership was nice and picked us up at the airport on time and we weren’t charged any unexpected fees. Would definelty recommend.

We could not be happier with the service, the car and the trip. The camper was comfortable, cozy, and warm. Everything you need for a trip around Iceland is there and theres space for everything you need. If ee are back we would choose the same company and car without a doubt.

We rented the camper for 12 days, all insurances included and with an extra driver- by far the best offer compared to other rental services. We arrived at the airport and there was already someone standing to pick us up and drive us to the rental station 5 min away. Big plus was that someone picked our car up in a private place because we wanted to stay a little longer in Reykjavik. All very easy. Clean, enough space and comes with every thing you need for a camping trip :)

Great experience with northbound- met off the flight and taken directly to car . Drop off was equally as easy and quick. The van was a great way to see such a beautiful country. Camper had all the essential, comfy mattress and a great heater which was much needed in April. The all inclusive insurance with this van was a real deal clincher, peace of mind at a very decent price.

Renting a camper van in Iceland is defintely the way to go! Experience the freedom of going your own way, every day. We were worried about the cold at night, but with the built-in heater it was nice and warm inside the car while it was freezing outside. The matress was comfortable, the car was nice and clean and the service level of Star Car Rental just wonderful! You can reach time at any time and they're really very friendly. Also the camping stove, chairs and pots and pans were just what we needed to make it an unforgetable holiday. I highly recommend this rental company to anyone going to Iceland in the near future.

Excellent things: Excellent car good ride and good nights of sleep. +++++ Cooking gas was more than enough to week. +++++ Warm car on nights +++++ (-8 C and no problems if you have sleeping bags) Diesel heater was functional and did not broke +++++ Cosy car +++ Safety things: !! Hopefully next time I found this important equipment - Shovel ( because you never know do you need to make snow works when you drive in April ) - Towrope ( if you must help somebody or yourself when stuck somehow) - Jump cables +++++ NIce to upgrade to the car:! upholsteries inside of the car - Steel is very cold material on nights. When the car is upholstered from the inside diesel heater is more efficient to use. Think green! Surprising things: Winter tyres on front wear fast - 2300 km and almost wear off ---

Had problems with the heater but the van did well in the bad road conditions.

Good experience with Star Car Rental. Quick and easy car pick up. Very good price, and every insurance is included which is a real plus. Heater system works really well. Once it died on us, but quick and easy car change even at 11PM. We wondered how it wouldve worked if we weren’t close to Reykjavik tho. The room under the bed is not high enough for a suitcase to fit. It didn’t bother us too much tho. Our plance left at 06:00 AM, and we could leave the car at the airport at whatever time we wanted, which was really convenient. Plus: Diesel, all insurances included. Decent camping set. Wi-Fi included. Return at any time. Minus: Suitcase doesn’t fit under the bed.

Dacia Dokker was a very good vehicle. It had a solid ride and was very stable on the open road. The snow tires provided excellent traction on snow packed roads and the camper handled cross winds very well. Webasco heater made for a warm nights sleep. It was quieter than some other campers that also had heaters. A second air duct that would blow warm air directly into the sleeping area would take care of the condensation on the van ceiling after a nights sleep. Would rent from Northbound on my next visit to Iceland. Very happy with my choice. Very good service. Met at airport and then taken back to airport. Thank you.

We had a great experience with your car rental service. Our flight got delayed, well, we couldnt get out of the airplane due to the heavy wind, however the guys who picked us up was very kind and patient with us. He did not out any pressure on us and gave us a warm welkome. Afterwards he explained everything very well. Also the return was very nice as you provide the service to pick up the car at the prefered location/hotel. Also a good price/quality rate, and an easy accessible website. Overall just great!
