Northern Lights Car Rental in Iceland

All went well with this car rental. thx

Questions were answered quickly in advance, and problems solved. Even when our plane was cancelled, problems were solved. When our friends picked up the car, the guy seemed very stressed, and made it a bit stressfull to understand everything. Upon return of car, he was much more polite. Car in general was ok, suspension a bit worn out, and sensor for automstic brake controll in cruise controll was malfunctioning all the time, which made cruisecontrol unavailable. Included wifi was a great feature.

Staff friendly and unformal, and everything went smooth and Quick. The suspension was a little worn, but you must expect that, when you get lowest market price.

The experience was really good - the staff was friendly and helped easily when we had to change the car because it had a problem we did not cause.

Very easy dealing to pick up and bring back the car. No technical problems with the car on all kind of roads. Pick up at the airport was a little bit unorganized and hasty.

Everything works without bigger complications.

Hi !! I rent a gray Suzuki Jimny during July 19th until August 4th. My boyfriend and I liked Iceland et all has been good with the car and the tent....was great. But honestly, the guy who greeted us was really not friendly. He was impatient when we asked him questions, he explain us the price in US money when we asked him to convert all that into Canadian money ... in short ... we were really angry .. and it really started our journey badly. The guy ended up pressing us to sign and ordered us to remove our luggage from his vehicle. In short, I would not recommend anyone else to go and rent from you. Rental was quick and efficient. No problems with the car in our two week stay. No problems when returning either. Rental office was a bit hard to find as there was no sign (in contrast there was a sign for a different rental company) on the building for which we had the address for returning the car.

Very good. Smooth starting. Because my wife broke her leg on July 12, we have to stop that trip, and returned the rental car on July 15. When we were sent to the airport, the local office manager also went with us, it showed more careful to us. I am waiting for the refund now.

Everything was great. The pick up at the airport went smooth and the guys were very helpful. Sadly we were unlucky and at our second last day someone broke into the car in Reykjavík Skúlagata and stole all our stuff. But the staff was great and someone came by to assist us really quickly and was extremly nice and helpful. Would definitley recommend you and rent from you again. I used to live in iceland and my experience with you was exactly how I remember Icelandic people. Fun, helpful and honest. Thank you

The condition of the Vitara was superb. It was excellent to have a WIFI router in the vehicle. However, the GPS did not allow address to be keyed in. Would it be possible to tweak it accordingly for use?

Die Abholung am Flughafen hat sehr gut geklappt. Auto war OK. Wir hatten in der Nacht einen Heimflug und konnten das Auto am Flughafenparkplatz abstellen. Finde ich super! Alfons und Silvia aus Deutschland

Everthing ok

The Jimny has what I believe to be fuse problems. After a few days, the radio and accessory outlet did not work. This could be problematic as the GPS needs to be plugged into the accessory outlet. However, I was fine because I had wifi and smart phones with google map. Also, I do not believe that the fuse for the 4x4 ever worked. I could not put the Jimny into 4x4. But, I did not need it anyway as I did not go into terrain that would require 4x4. The roof tent was cozy and operated well, however I believe that it's safe to say that a roof tent such as this one is not meant to be used in unpredictable Icelandic weather. The mattress was wet when it was windy and rainy. Next time I would opt to pay more for a caravan. Still, the service provided was very good, the price was fair, and the Jimny got me all around the ring road and I had a great adventure in your beautiful country.

Everything was great. Transportation to and from the airport was convenient and on time. The car was exactly as described. The internet hotspot worked great and needed more than we thought. I would definitely recommend!

It was a wonderful trip with a very pleasant car rental experience. From the pickup at Reykjavik airport to the drop off, it all went very well. Mario was very attentive to our needs. I thank Northern Lights for a great service.

Overall it was a very good experience. We were picked up and dropped off at airport as promised. The car was exactly what was reserved and worked well and the wifi in the car was so helpful. The only negative was that the car had a lot of miles on it.

It was the worst car rental experience that I have had.

We had a great experience. We were in Iceland for 11 days and were very happy with our Jimny/Roof Tent combo. It was very quick and easy to set up and take down. Everything with the rental process went smoothly.
