Car Rentals in Iceland

Dear Northbound. The service at star car rental was really good. - perfekt. I had some problems from Home, because i only have debit visa and debit Mastercard, but that was no problem. So thank you for that. The car was a bit slibbery on the Road. But i have blevet driven a 4+4 before and i did not know how to turn it on or of. But the car was alarm about slidding on the Road. (A lot) Otherwise it was a Nice car. The Reason We booked with you, was because we where able to book without depositum.

The car was perfect for our tour. Driving was easy and smooth.

Quite new car, no major problems during our adventure. Large boot, fitted 4x 70-80L suitcases, but required some clever packing. Car came with a broken windscreen wiper, took multiple shops to find a replacement, but we were reimbursed for it when we returned the car. Definitely satisfied.

This is an extremely basic van build and you get what you get (the pictures are pretty accurate). Definitely some things that could make the van much more convenient like extra storage for small items, curtain for front of cab (we had to improvise and hang towels for privacy and to try and block out the light at night), and a fan or ability to crack open the back cab windows (it did get pretty hot in there in July). We could not use the stove the entire trip because we were given an empty propane tank so if you’re not comfortable figuring out how to change it, definitely inquire about it during pickup. Overall reliable vehicle, great customer service experience and was nice to have for our 7-day road-trip but would opt for a larger van that you can stand up in that has some added conveniences and luxuries for anything longer than that.

Our car rental was excellent! The only downfall was that we had to return it 4 instead of 1 and they charged us for an extra day. Other than that we very pleased!

Can't say anything about the Aygo, I was given similar size Kia and that was ok. :)

The Toyota Corolla hybrid wagon was a great car to drive during our three days in Iceland! Economical, roomy for 2 adults and 2 bigger kids with luggage, perfect to park in tight spots, and more than enough power in sport mode to pass slower cars.

The car was great - very smooth running and comfortable, also great on gas (being a hybrid). Big problems with returning the vehicle though. First off, confusion with Go Iceland and Go Car rentals (went first two the wrong place to return it - our fault). Then, dropping at the airport, we found you had moved and so we called the number for service several times, and no one answered. We finally got your new location from a paper notice posted at the airport drop off site. In all, we packed and unpacked the vehicle 3 times during this process. Perhaps if you had an email with a map to the return location, it might have gone smoothly from the start.

The service lamp in the car came on, when it passed the 15.000KM mark for service oil chamhe - we had only driven a few kilometers. I would like to have been informed of this.

Good car, only negative point was that I rented a GPS. It would have been nice to inform me in advance that the car had an integrated GPS, now I got an oldfashioned one to be stuck to the windshield.

This Jeep did very well for us 2 with just enough room for our luggage. We had some problems at the airport finding the pickup person, he showed up late (for us) and had no sign. We got very good information at the desk of Go Island about driving offroad and so on. The car did not dissappoint in any respect for our trips into the mountains. We think 4x4 is a MUST for hikers!

The car rental was great. Northbound was a perfect team partner in selecting and reserving my rental which had all insurances included in the price, the car rental from Star Rental Cars and a representative picked me up from the airport and waited patiently for me even though we were an hour late. Staff was cordial and informative.

After two days the car showed the warning for the regular inspection, at the pick up we felt pressed to upgrade the basic insurance, we took the premium one but not the wind blow damage+river crossing, therefore we were worried about the wind blows all the time we opened a door, also it didn't include tyre puncture that can happen at any time and at any place. However the we enjoyed the car, it was in very good condition and worked fine on the FRoads ans gravel roads.

Comfortable with extended features car. Lane control , parking cameras, AC, and navigation made the drive pleasant. However, the users manual and the electric charger were not provided. We had to fill in the tank fault twice.

All is ok! 👍 Description car and objects for camping are real and perfect. Good car for "F" roads👌
