We visited Whales of Iceland and thoroughly enjoyed it. The audio guide describing the life size models was very interesting. It was great to get to see the size of the whales as it is difficult to imagine how large they are. The cafe was very reasonably priced and the hot chocolate was delicious.

Of course Jokulsarlon is spectacularly beautiful - but, if you want spectacular beauty as well as peace, this is the place to come to. There are very few people at this glacier lagoon (unlike Jokulsarlon), so you can really immerse yourself in the beauty of a glacier lagoon. The day we were there, there were lots of icebergs floating in the lagoon. The young people in charge of the zodiac trip were very professional and very charming. Moreover, it turns out they are members of the extended family that owns the land. Duthe supplier our boat trip, which gave us amazing views of icebergs, glaciers, and distant peaks, they told us about their grandmother who lived there at a time when there were no roads to the cities, so people crossed large streams on strong horses to get supplies. The trip was very memorable all around, one of the highlights of our 14 day trip to Iceland. Not to be missed if you have a day in the area! Plus it is easy to get to - about 10 min west of Jokulsarlon by car and 40 min east of the National Park visitor center at Skaftafell. Just a few minutes of driving on a dirt road (turn left at the fork). We also recommend the Fjallsarlon to Breidarlon hike.

This trip gives a great insight into glaciers and the scenery is dramatic and spectacular. You get very close to the glacier and many of the icebergs floating in the lagoon. Our guide Joao made the tour very interesting. They gear you up in a really warm coat and life jacket. Wear gloves and a hat!

This boat tour is not to be missed if you re in the area. Very knowledgeable guides. Gets you very close to the glacier and the icebergs in the lagoon. Left us in awe.

The highlight of my trip to Iceland The boat tour we took today at Fjallsarlon was excellent. They provide you with extremely warm jackets and life vests, and I suggest you bthe supplier waterproof pants as well! They have them there but they weren't offered to us as it wasn't raining when our tour started, but it began to come down while we were out on the water and we ended up getting fairly wet. Our knowledgeable guide was originally from France and did a great job at telling us all about the lagoon and the glaciers.

A spectacular day with our guide Maria. She was super friendly and was very knowledgeable about what we saw and had a lot of cool stories to tell. The weather was sunny and clear and allowed for great views. This was an excellent tour that allows plenty of time to see the sights and take photos. The ice cream was delicious and the cows were cool too. Also we got to stop and meet some Icelandic horses which was a fun experience. We couldn't be happier with our experience and would do other tours with this company especially Maria again.

Other tours usually just include the supplier, Gullfoss and Thingvellir, while in this tour you also visit awesome Kerid crater, Faxi waterfall, some local farm with a taste of delicious ice cream included in price and short stop to cuddle and take pictures with Icelandic horses. Yes, the price is higher, but its worth without even thinking about it. Of course, there is also secret lagoon, but I think that next to a blue lagoon, it's quite unnecessary to visit that one as well. My girlfriend and I are so satisfied with the tour as well as our guide, that we plan to go on south cost tour with Troll as well in the upcoming days.

This tour was a small mini bus which meant a smaller party and access to sites the larger buses don’t have access to. Varla was our guide for the day and she was excellent, providing lots of information and knowledge of each site we visited and about the history of Iceland. All of this while also driving the mini bus. We firstly visited Biskupstungnabraut where we saw the Faxi waterfall and the Kerið crater. Then we moved on to Gullfoss to see the amazing waterfall, and then on to the the supplier at Selfoss which again has to be seen.. Before moving on to Thingvellir national park we stopped at a farm which made amazing ice cream. The National Park was wonderful; we walked from the drop off point up past rock, waterfalls and an amazing view of Thingvellir Lake. We were then met at the pickup point at the top of the hill. An amazing day with a great guide.

These guys are doing fantastic work. We saw Minke whales and a very close encounter with a Humpback. These guys knew exactly where to find them. Our guide, the strikingly lovely Natalia, was so passionate about the these animals it was hard not to be moved (that on top of being tossed around by the North Atlantic). Highly recommended.

YES, I saw whales!!! Gentle Giant offers a great service and has a great staff - I like how ethical and respectful they are with the whales, not using any artificial ways to attract the whales close to the boat - we get to observe the amazing beauties while they are at their natural environment without disturbing or getting to close to them. The guide explained a lot about the local whales and I felt that it was very educational too. I recommend their tour as I had a very good and pleasant experience.

Duthe supplier our trip to Iceland, we naturally wanted to go whale watching. I read the reviews on this service and it did not disappoint. We saw many puffins and humpback whales. The guides and spotters were very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to go whale watching in Iceland.

Excellent tour company and cheap too. Our tour guide and driver "Ingvar" was very informative and friendly. He told us great background stories for each location that we stopped at and gave us an interesting insight to Icelandic history throughout the tour. We bought the special offer package of airport transfers, transport to and from blue lagoon and grand golden circle tour. Cheapest I could find online and pick ups were on time, not much time spent picking other people up due to use of mini buses and drop offs and pick ups were at your hotel. Guide/driver on the golden circle tour was friendly and informative. Would definitely use again.

We got to see the nearly extinct North Atlantic Right Whale which made the trip extra special. The boat was very nice, the staff friendly and knowledgable, and the restrooms were clean and roomier than you normally find on tour boats. There even was entertainment on the way back. We had the best experience seeing whales on this excursion. We were blessed enough to see 2 humpback whales breaching and playing in the midnight sun along with some minke whales. It was a truly magnificent experience. Loved every minute of this excursion!

What an amazing trip!!. The staff aboard our boat were great and Rodriges was so knowledgable and made the trip really interesting. We so lucky that night, the sky was alive with the most amazing colours and shapes drifting above our heads. A night to remember. I highly recommend going on this cruise.

My dad and I did both the whale watching and a northern lights tour. Managed to see both the northern lights after much waiting and the whales straight away the next day ! Tours were well organised, and the company seems really environmentally aware and encouraging of recycling. I felt very sea sick on the whale tour so if you’re susceptible take sick bags as there was lots of “swell” and the boat was very up and down. Great tour guides both days!

It was a great experience! Very cold/ windy and patience needed, but when those lights appear it is magical! The team kept giving us information and facts in a fun and interactive way. Not suggested for people who suffer from seasickness.

A good company, there was a very good guide on the boat and they did their best to find a whale. They were successful and treated to the view of a humpback. Unfortunately, my motion sicknesses meds were not up to the challenge of this experience, and I spent a good bit of the trip on the bottom level throwing up. The ladies down there were extremely nice and helpful, but if you have trouble with motion sickness, I would give whale watching a miss! Also, I wore every layer of clothing I had but still availed myself of the insulated overalls that they provide - very helpful to cut the wind.

While the sight of the whales was amazing.... and the 50+ dolphins were enjoyable, it was the sound of the whale taking in a giant breath of air before doing a deep dive that mesmerized me. The creatures are massive, and North Sails from start to finish tried their best to make our trip comfortable, enjoyable, educational, and adventurous. We were lucky and had fairly calm seas, saw multiple whales, enjoyed the cinnamon buns and hot cocoa, and we had an absolute blast. This is one of those tours where you likely need the weather to be in your favor, but for us, we loved the entire thing. Highly recommend North Sails and their incredible crew!

Visited the secret lagoon and golden circle for my 50th birthday. I had an amazing day, lots of fantastic things to see and enjoyed finishing the day in the secret lagoon.

Pick up on time from hotel. Comfortable smart bus. Funny,informative and interesting guide Gathspurr. Great sites. Waterfalls. Geysers.Tectonic plates. Plenty of time to view/visit each attraction. Well structured day. Never felt rushed. Fantastic day ended with swim in the secret lagoon.

I went on the Game of Thrones tour, there were 10 of us including our tour guide, Armund, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about both Iceland and Game of Thrones. Saw some wonderful sights that were involved in the filming of Game of Thrones, as well as a few others. In terms of sights seen, many of us on the tour actually preferred this one above the Golden Circle tour. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Iceland, whether you are a GoT enthusiast or not! (you will enjoy the sights regardless)

Our tour guide and driver were absolutely great - they made a huge difference as the weather was not great. The tour guide ( his name was Day ) had plenty of stories, jokes, information and even a song at one point! The sights were great and the service was very efficient. I can definitely recommend this company.

This was a wonderful, fabulous, tour. We visited the Golden Circle sights and also a wonderful working farm and greenhouse facility. The food was wonderful, the conversation inspithe supplier. We finished the tour at farm that teaches visitors how Icelandic rural families lived. The hosts in every site were gracious and welcoming. The tour guide was knowledgeable and provided a thorough overview of this interesting locale.

IONA. Her name is Iona, our guide for our whale watching voyage. Iona (yes, purposefully saying it one more time) was the trip. As my wife said, "Iona is our memory of the trip to Iceland..." The schooner, the rough seas, the winds, the exceptional captain and yes, Iona made the trip nothing short of perfect. Yes, we saw some whales. The bow of the schooner dipped deep, spraying us along the way, the whales came up for air and dove deep into the Husavik bay, and the winds blew. We were just 20 miles south of the arctic circle. It was magical.

Had a really nice time one the Sailing boat out of Husavik, even got to help put up the sails which was a treat. Got a great view of the whales they came really close to the ship was a truly enjoyable experience. The crew were lovely explained lots about the whales and provided Hot Chocolate and cinnamon buns on the way back to help keep us warm.

We got to see so much! My highlight was the glacier as I had never walked on one before. The waterfalls were impressive and the black sand beaches gorgeous. The shapes lava can take on are endless.

I took the Southern Route tour from Busta travel with Julia. Not only have i taken many single day trips in different places around the world i myself am a former tour guide and professor of world history. So in that context let me say Julia did a wonderful job! She has all the skills necessary to be a great guide.

Just finished a wonderful day with Sif on a journey to the southern most city in Iceland We saw waterfalls Walked behind waterfalls Walked to a glacier. And learned so much history and culture about Iceland. The stops allowed plenty of time for each experience without being rushed. Plenty of time for snacks, lunch, and bathrooms. Then the ride home with soft Icelandic music, drink and snack! Wow Thank you, Sif.

I really enjoyed this tour, despite it raining quite hard throughout the whole day! The stops were breathtaking and so unique. Our guide Bjorn was fantastic. He was funny and fun and his love of Iceland showed throughout the whole tour.

We took two back to back day tours with Your Day Tour. Gusti was our guide for the South Coast Tour and he was simply amazing. We lucked out with good weather that day so he made some extra stops that were not on the itinerary including the Sólheimajökull. It was a long day but we saw a lot and had plenty of time at each stop without feeling rush. I highly recommend Your Day Tour. Their vans are really comfortable too. You will not regret it!

Eyglo walked us through town with 5 very different types of restaurants. This was a great way to kick off our vacation as we quickly learned what types of food we like. Eyglo made sure there was a great vibe throughout our time with the group and couldn’t have asked for a better food tour. Cheers.

We did a good tour with Agnes, it isn’t everyday that you get an actual musician to show off her home town and food. We had a great time and the food was all really good. The fish, meat and cheese and the hot dog and ice cream were all very good. Agnes is very proud of her beautiful country and is very in touch with the local scene. She gave us a surprise treat at the end of the tour. She was a great host. She even gave us tips on the local music scene. You must do this tour.

We had so much fun on our food tour with Agnes. We were able to visit many of the restaurants that we wanted to try on our trip, all in one night. We had delicious fish, lamb soup, the famous Icelandic hot dog with all the trimmings, cheese, cured meats and rye bread ice cream. Agnes was a wonderful host and she was very knowledgeable about Icelandic food and Iceland. We had a very good time walking around Reykjavik and heathe supplier her stories. She is a pop star and her music was playing in the bar we visited to sample Icelandic beer. I would highly recommend this tour.

Best Bar Crawl in Reykjavik! Had so much fun on the Wake Up Reykjavik bar crawl!! All of the included bars and clubs were really cool and unique and the drinks were great. We had a really great group and mix of different people and even after the bar crawl ended, we all stayed together and partied the rest of the night. Thanks to Egill for being an awesome host and making sure we had a great time. I went as a solo traveler and it was a great way to make friends. Would do it again in a heartbeat!!

Wake Up Reykjavik has been a solid company to work with. Since booking, April has done an excellent job in communicating everything I need to know to get to where I needed to be. Our tour guide was Daniel. This was a great experience, because it did not feel so much like a tour, but just some people out for drinks. We went to 4 separate bars. The beers were delicious and the bars chosen were great. The "sample" size in Iceland was a bit more than I was expecting which was a nice surprise. Daniel had a great knowledge of the beer history and was very open to questions. Overall awesome experience from the company all around.

Ery friendly and professional Samantha was able to explain everything with details about the Glacier Skaftafell hike how to walk and how to use the equipment correctly, me and my group we really enjoyed this experience very much and also visiting the Ice cave. We just finished our experience with a big smile and this will be an incredible memory. Thank you Samantha for being our great guide, was nice to have conversations with you! I really raccomand this great experience!

Just finished our glacier hike and ice cave tour with Boris that we only booked the night before. We loved it. It was chilled and informative and we enjoyed it very much as a couple. Boris is attentive to the group and there are so many amazing views (and thus photo opportunities!)

From all the touristic attractions, we found this one as one of the best. We highly recommend it. Even though the weather was very bad, our guide Jessica managed to make it a very enjoyable hike.
