We booked a 2022 model but I would say the car was definately older. It had 80,000km on the clock and had very basic equipment.

Perfect car, me and my family created good memories riding this car trougth Iceland.

We've received a corresponding Mitsubishi Eclipse. She was a lovely car, great for those roads and harsh weather conditions. Staff was nice, service also - we've received notifications and weather warnings along the way. Drop off easy. One thing I'd like to point out - it was a hybrid car and we had no idea how to charge the other motor. No problem with that, petrol was enough. I just wanted to let you know. Thank you 😊

My rental experience was pretty good. It would have been helpful to just have a brief overview of the vehicle…gas tank release, manual reverse, 4x4 operation) All of these things were foreign to me and I had to call to get assistance in how to put it in reverse.

Amazing small car. Weather changes so fast in Iceland… we had sun, snow, rain, heavy winds… and the car behaved great in every condition. I strongly recommend this company, it offers the best customer support I’ve ever experienced (and I’ve traveled the world). So happy I found them!!

Hi there! I was totally satisfied with the 2019 Dacia Duster that u provided us. It was fully functioning without any problems and was reliable. Also the staff was really welcoming and friendly! I also want to mention the good information that were sent to me per email for example about tunnel fees etc.

The car was excellent for the Icelandic roads. It was easy to pick up and return the car and. Everything went very fast. They offer shuttle bus from/to the airport which was very nice as well. The shuttle bus came quickly at the airport. They send email beforehand and duthe supplier the rental period so we felt safe and well met throughout the rental period.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to give you a short feedback. First of all we would like to emphasize that we rented a great car. The condition was very good, the car was very clean inside and out and we enjoyed driving it. The service on the first day was also excellently organized. The shuttle bus was at the agreed place on time and quickly took us to their office. Everything was then dealt with quickly and easily on site. We were able to take over the car without much loss of time and start our round trip with it. The car served well duthe supplier the trip. Even the small damage, where someone hit the car at night, could be settled quickly and easily with the contact person in her office. Returning the car was just as quick and easy. great job The only suggestion I would recommend is an ice scraper or broom as equipment for the car in winter and activating the navigation device. In my opinion, this is part of the current standard. Otherwise we are very satisfied with everything. Best regards and keep it up.

The car was great and fit the bil for an excursion around Iceland. Everything worked great and it was easy to extend the trip by a couple of days.

Nice Camper, With a lot of stuff, Nice heater, the cooler doesnt work but in Iceland is not needed

The car was ideal for our purposes of touthe supplier west and south Iceland; plenty of room for three adults and our luggage.

The car was great for all weather conditions. Service at the rental station was great too. We had to wait a bit for the Pick up service. And the lady who drove us was very unfriendly.

Everything has turned out perfect, the vehicle is very good and the rental company, knowing that we came from Northbound, have been very kind. We had a problem since the day before our departure they closed all the roads on the island due to bad weather and they solved everything for us.

Very smooth. I got the car in less than 5 minutes! Also, the car company is a 5 minute walk from the airport main terminal so you do not have to wait for the bus. Last, it took me less than 5 minutes to return the car!

We rented the car from Lave Car Rental after compathe supplier different options. The communication was great. We got immediate response and regular updates. The pick-up at the airport was OK - but due to our arrival in the evening we had to give a call to the office. After collecting the car we noticed a small damage at the rear side, which was not recorded and noticed because it was already dark at the time of pick-up. We went back to the office the next morning and this solved. Great service - perfect car in top condition.

A huge appreciation to northbound & the supplier for this splendid amazing journey. Wanted to go to Iceland for 25 years, never had a good reason. For a new project it finally truly resonated. Couldn’t have wished for a better - intense - one driving around in the the supplier. Everything went smooth, apart for the weather which has no mercy, but Dámn that makes it all so memorable. Pick up, Service, Shuttle to Airport, condition of the car, everything was fine. I was given a hybid car. A 4x4 with 36l of tank volume, what is absolute not appropriate for longer travel distances and remote areas. I had to look for a gas station every (!) day. The "normal" Jeep has 60l of volume. Nobody informed me about this aspect. The car is fine, but always watching the fuel level and looking for next gas stations is not fun.

The car was nice. A bit smaller than we realized, but it worked for us. The back up camera, lane-assist, and CarPlay were huge bonuses

Everything went great. We even got a free upgrade. The pick-up service from the airport and after a week to the hotel was well organized. We would book through northbound again

Loved it, was perfect for 6 of us. Definitely a little snug but that was because of of all our luggage. Amazing car and not bad on gas!

Worst experience ever... I have no information in the airport how to get the bus to the BSI Bus Station. The FlyBus company have few bus leaving the airport by night, the time we arrived. So I have to pay A LOT to take a taxi to BSI Terminal. The car was there in the bus station but I´m not able to get it because I must to download the Tesla app but I received NONE instructions beforehand. And the app is avaiable ONLY in icelandic phone numbers. I made a reservation from Brazil. Poor, very poor instructions. And nobody answered the phone that I had in my voucher. Waste of money and time. We leave the car locked there and take another taxi to the hotel. Never again.

Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable, en cuanto a la furgoneta no se le puede poner ninguna pega, ya que esta realmente equipada con todo lo que uno necesita y tiene una magnífica conducción tanto en caminos de tierra como en nieve, sin duda volvería a repetir.

The car was perfektly cleaned when we got it. Everything worked well. It was big enough for two persons and luggage for 10 days. At the hills sometimes I would like to have more horsepower. The shuttle from and to the airport was fast and easy. So I would rent a car with northbound and lava again.

We had a great experience renting through Lava. The only hitch was a late/confusing pick up at the airport, which is annoying when you land in a foreign country for the first time at 6 a.m. Other than that, the staff was quick, clear, transparent and helpful. Would totally rent from them next time!

North Bound has a fast en helpfull costumer support. Pickup and Dorpoff at Lotus was easy. The transfer from and to the airport went also very well by friendly, enthousiastic en nice people of the supplier.

The car was a large 5 seater with good trunk space, just what we needed. It was a much older car than expected but ran fine. The driver door had issues closing due to the freezing temperatures and the tire gauge was malfunctioning. The staff was attentive to the emails in a timely manner. We asked to pick up the car in the city and return it to the airport which was stated on our contract. The staff did Fail to mention that this was actually the same location. We reserved a hotel near thr Airport the last night for our convenience so we drove out to the airport area (45 min) then had to drive Back the city(45 min) to drop off the car then take the airport bus (45 min) back to the airport with all our luggage. This was a waste of time and gas due to poor communication

Had a fantastic experience with the supplier (shoutout to Remi and Klara) - super efficient pick up service from the airport to the rental location. I was initially nervous about driving an SUV but was shown all the features of the car. If we had any questions throughout the trip, they were easily contactable and queries were dealt with efficiently. Would highly recommend Lava

We were thoroughly happy with the service supplied by Northbound. Everything was very easy in terms of booking online, getting picked up at the airport and with the campervan itself. The entire process was very smooth and Northbound made it very easy to compare types of vans and prices to get the campervan that best suite us at a very reasonable price. Cannot fault Northbound.

The car was delivered to us at the airport which was nice as it was cold and very windy. The car was clean and as advertised. We were able to stay in contact with our agent via text / phone to coordinate drop off. The whole thing was very efficient. Would definitely use your company again.
