Cheap Campervans in Iceland

I hired the unheated van in winter. I brought with me a hot water bottle which was priceless in an unheated van! I would recommend though insulating these unheated vans as in my case (cheap rentals), there was plenty of space between the car interior panels, to fill the ghaps with expandable foam OR, stuff it with some sort of insulation. Also, can I suggest you provide window shades for the front windscreen and driver + passenger windows, for night time? This will also help keep it warmer. Apart from that I found the van easy to drive, economical and I really loved the wifi and inverter provided with the insurance package. I DO think the gravel insurance is a bit of a rip-off. One shouldn't be having to pay for this insurance especially in a country that has a lot of gravel roads and in some instances are the ONLY available roads! Gravel chip damage is inevitable with these kinds of roads - drivers should NOT be penalised for this!

I've rented this camper van from 7th March until 12th March. The vehicle has few issues but nothing major. The sliding door got stuck unexpectedly, the rubber lining on the sliding door fell off 2 times, the vehicle at pick up time had 157,000+ km and we clocked in 1400km in just 5 days. The vehicle is very reliable and easy to drive on road. The camping equipment which is free if you buy full insurance is okay. The condition of sleeping bag is not great, make sure to check them before picking up, my sleeping bag zip was stuck very badly. Office agent said the gas canisters will last for a month, three canisters we received are used and only worked 2 times, again make sure to pick up new canisters. These items are extra but the vehicle itself held up very good and very smooth on the road. Take pictures and videos before picking up this van. This is my first car rental and I'm very happy with the whole experience. Will 100% rent again with Cheap Campervans for the affordable price.

Contraté una furgoneta para mi viaje de 7 días a Islandia. Exactamente la Dacia Dokker Camper 2019. Fui en marzo, pero el tiempo acompañó para poder llevar esta furgoneta y no elegir una 4x4. La calefacción funcionaba perfectamente y con potencia, el espacio donde dormir era amplio, tenía todos los utensilios necesarios para cocinar, asientos cómodos (no se pueden reclinar porque detrás tiene la madera para poner el saco o colchón) y lo más importante... apenas consume gasolina. Di la vuelta a la isla rellenando solo dos veces el depósito al completo, incluyendo las paradas que iba haciendo mientras visitaba cada rincón. Recomendadísimo.

The camper van worked just fine for our needs. We were comfortable in it for a 2 week trip. Everything went very smoothly with northbound and cheap campervans. We were very happy with the great deal we got too!

Fabulous, we were picked up from the airport exactly on time and taken to the hire depot, to be shown the car amd go through paperwork. Everyone was super friendly, offered hot drinks whislt we went through it amd was given thorough and helpful advice. The Duster was a fab 4x4 to get us around the south of Iceland safely and comfortably. At the end of the 5 days we returned it back and shuttled back to the airport. I would recommend this company and would use again.
