Car Rentals in Iceland

We were a party of four and it was perfect for our trip! It was great on gas. MYCAR was super efficient. It was a great experience overall.

I was picked up from airport only after I call to remind office to pick up me. It was an online coordination with my airline and flight information provided in advance.

The car was very suitable for our needs. it was clean and in good condition handed over. A suggestion would be to set two bottles of water to start of exploring island.

The cAr was almost brand new and in perfect conditions, the shuttle bus service quick and smooth, and the staff kind and professional. The only comment i have is on the model of the car, it was the hybrid model, and the dimension of the tank was quite small, giving a range of about 300 km only, which can be not enough in certain areas

It served our purposes with the trip, and was equipped with everything we needed. Only hickups we experienced was when we needed to change the gas container to the stove and there were no instructions in English, and that we didn't find ice for the cooler box the first day (as was recommended at pick up: the electric cooler did not work sufficiently). I would also personally had preferred a thicker mattress. It was ok for the 3 nights we rented it, but would have been difficult to endure for a longer period of time. Communication about shuttle for pick up was a bit confusing as well, as we did not arrive by plane that day.

The car was amazing, it was easy to drive. I would note that the Icelandic roads are quite small so the auto in lane in the car didn't work so well with that. (For example, when you just touched the lane lines the car alarmed me that I was touching the lane line) but it was impossible not to, because of the small roads in some parts of Iceland. Other than that I had no issue with the car and the rental staff. Great job. My girlfriend noticed that your employee was talking bad about another of your customers while we were at the desk, she would recommend not talking behind your customer's back especially when other customers are at the desk.

The Duster is certainly a great, unpretentious car for Iceland that offers both the ruggedness and sufficient comfort to go almost anywhere. It came as a somewhat older model, yet it was in good condition and completely reliable even during and after long dirt road sections. It offers sufficient space inside, and the roof tent was perfect for us two, even in quite windy conditions. The experience only had one small disconnect, which was the timing of return. As we arrived early morning but departed late evening, there were several back-and-forth about not having to return the car that last day in the morning and then being stranded at Keflavik. But it resolved itself, and all was swift, friendly and without any tedious steps. Great experience, and would certainly do it again. (one suggestion: add wading depth info for the Duster in its configuration to the info available to drivers)

It was fine in general I just have 2 comments 1- the driver was 15-20 minutes late in the arrival hall, i searched for him when we arrived and i called the office until he showed up 2- the car wind shield glass was broken in front of my eyesight so that was annoying

The car was great - clean and drove smooth, to my expectations. I appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport and the rental price was one of the best I could find. The staff member at the office explained all the road conditions and rules clearly too. Altogether an easier process than I expected and we were really glad to have rented a car to get to all the amazing sights!

Fantastic Trip into the Icelandic central highlands. We've received excellent customer experience with both Northbound and Lotus Car Rental. The communication with Northbound before the trip was exceptional and the car hire pick up and drop off with Lotus was easy and quick. The vehicle was clean, in near new condition and well equipped. I would thoroughly recommend!

The staff was very friendly and everything worked perfectly. They delivered the car right on time to our hotel in Reykjavik. The car was in a very good condition and we didn't have any problem during our journey. When we brought the car back to the rental station, they even drove us to our hotel.

We loved driving our Toyota Land Cruiser on our Iceland trip arranged by northbound/ MyCar. We were picked up at the airport just as communicated. The car was in outstanding condition and pick up and drop off was seamless. The staff at MyCar were friendly and they drove us back to the airport as soon as we dropped off the car. I would use this company again and recommend them to anyone.

The customer service of the ring-guys went super uncomplicated. Reachable on the phone every time, pick up an drop of in time, and always freandley.

I wanted to rent a car in Iceland and luckily found Northbound site where I had found 2022 Toyota Yaris AWD from MYCAR in Canadian dollars which was within our budget. I had options of silver plan and added worry free full coverage as well as rented internet router too so I can use Waze or Google map connecting to wifi in the car which was a piece of mind. The car was just perfect to explore Iceland and MYCARE shuttle service picked and dropped us up from Keflavík airport to its office and back which was 6 minutes away. It only took 10 minutes to get the car keys , paper work and we were all set to go. Out side car had some mud marks but inside was cleaned. I highly recommend Northbound isk site and MYCAR in getting the best deal. Surely will be recommending Northbound as they are very prompt in responding and emailing if there is anything needs clarification. Thank you so much for your service.

From a CEO that owned the largest luxury transportation in North Carolina, you have some issues which can be quickly resolved. You need a better process 1. At the airport, you need a better recovery of your clients, not just running in the front door with a sign (didn't even say Northbound on it said Go Iceland..Found out from another vendor you are a 3rd party vendor - which is OK..just not the right signage. The driver told me he could only take me and not my 10 year old granddaughter and I could come back to the airport and pick her up...Sounds crazy right? So we had to wait another 30 minutes for his return. 2. The check in process was too slow. I listened to all your agents and they weren't speaking the same procedure. 3. The vehicle I was driving should have been retired it had over 112,000 miles, dented, and I even brought it back to your representative twice before I got out of your parking lot- for wheel well scraping, USB ports not working, I was assured the car was drivable - in reality they were too busy and wanted me out of there. 4. The car check engine light came on 200 miles in, I wrote to you all, got a response - I needed to talk to someone else at Northbound. All I wanted to do was to let you know, so I would not get charged for it. 5. The return process was WAY to long. Good thing I took photos of the vehicle prior, because it showed the damage was there prior to my rental. It seems most of your agents challenged all the renters about an issue on the vehicle. 6. I will be going over the invoice and credit card charges from Northbound to make sure I was charged correctly. 7. The only hiccup in our trip - I would have done differently was the rental car experience -
