Car Rentals in Iceland

The company was super! The actual booking of the car was easy and really straight forward. Once in Iceland, the pick up was smooth and the staff was very friendly. The car was in prefect condition! The drop off was the same, friendly staff and easy procedure. I am definitely going back to Iceland one day and would absolutely rent from this company again!

Hey! The car was nice to drive and it has good features. Good mattress and okay accessories. Two recommendations: We had difficulty keeping warm even in good summer weather. I think you should recommend a heating system even in the summer and not just make it an optional extra. Additionally, the cooking equipment works, but a kettle would have been good for boiling water, and it's a must with the two burners. That type of gas cylinder loses pressure quickly, so it takes a very long time to cook. But overall, a nice car and good recommendations from me!

The folks at Star Rental are friendly snd helpful. They explained everything very well. The little camper was well equipoed. I arrived early to the airport and sent an email. Our pick up came right away!

Everything went great with the rental. Super easy to pick up/drop off. Got to see everything from westfjords to the new volcano in the car. Good stuff!

At first I didn’t expect a relatively new vehicle, but I was surprised to see it has over 250k mileage. But after talking with others I realized it’s a common thing. Overall I’m satisfied with the vehicle, never had any problems during our 2 weeks stay and we were able to go almost anywhere (even on some f-roads), I would consider renting the Suzuki Grand Vitara again in the future.

It was a wonderful trip and great experience. The car rental service from Lotus is perfect. Quick, Easy and enjoyable. I have travelled to many countries, and have rented car from different companies all over the world.I have to say Lotus Car Rental is impressive, very efficient and professional. The best!

Overall the camper was great as it had everything we needed! Only thing that didn't work was the cigarette lighter for charging phones, but that was only a small inconvenience and they said they would fix it. It is a basic camper relative to the other vans you see out there, but it was perfect for what we needed and the price was right.

It was great and served us well for our tour of Iceland

Hello the car did not give us problems but the model was not from 2023 and had 180000 km done and it was full of knocks on the bodywork.

This was an amazing process for rental. Great pricing and so easy to work with. The pick up and drop off was some of the fastest I have ever had for a rental can (even w/ a late night arrival). The vehicle was in excellent shape, clean and in great working order. 10/10 would rent again.

Dear Northbound. The service at star car rental was really good. - perfekt. I had some problems from Home, because i only have debit visa and debit Mastercard, but that was no problem. So thank you for that. The car was a bit slibbery on the Road. But i have blevet driven a 4+4 before and i did not know how to turn it on or of. But the car was alarm about slidding on the Road. (A lot) Otherwise it was a Nice car. The Reason We booked with you, was because we where able to book without depositum.

The car was perfect for our tour. Driving was easy and smooth.

Quite new car, no major problems during our adventure. Large boot, fitted 4x 70-80L suitcases, but required some clever packing. Car came with a broken windscreen wiper, took multiple shops to find a replacement, but we were reimbursed for it when we returned the car. Definitely satisfied.

Our car rental was excellent! The only downfall was that we had to return it 4 instead of 1 and they charged us for an extra day. Other than that we very pleased!

This is an extremely basic van build and you get what you get (the pictures are pretty accurate). Definitely some things that could make the van much more convenient like extra storage for small items, curtain for front of cab (we had to improvise and hang towels for privacy and to try and block out the light at night), and a fan or ability to crack open the back cab windows (it did get pretty hot in there in July). We could not use the stove the entire trip because we were given an empty propane tank so if you’re not comfortable figuring out how to change it, definitely inquire about it during pickup. Overall reliable vehicle, great customer service experience and was nice to have for our 7-day road-trip but would opt for a larger van that you can stand up in that has some added conveniences and luxuries for anything longer than that.

Can't say anything about the Aygo, I was given similar size Kia and that was ok. :)

The Toyota Corolla hybrid wagon was a great car to drive during our three days in Iceland! Economical, roomy for 2 adults and 2 bigger kids with luggage, perfect to park in tight spots, and more than enough power in sport mode to pass slower cars.

The car was great - very smooth running and comfortable, also great on gas (being a hybrid). Big problems with returning the vehicle though. First off, confusion with Go Iceland and Go Car rentals (went first two the wrong place to return it - our fault). Then, dropping at the airport, we found you had moved and so we called the number for service several times, and no one answered. We finally got your new location from a paper notice posted at the airport drop off site. In all, we packed and unpacked the vehicle 3 times during this process. Perhaps if you had an email with a map to the return location, it might have gone smoothly from the start.

The service lamp in the car came on, when it passed the 15.000KM mark for service oil chamhe - we had only driven a few kilometers. I would like to have been informed of this.

Good car, only negative point was that I rented a GPS. It would have been nice to inform me in advance that the car had an integrated GPS, now I got an oldfashioned one to be stuck to the windshield.
