staff was very friendly and kind!

The general condition of the car was very good, though there were two major issues. First, the front tires were down to the wear limit. Thus, it was necessary to drive very careful on wet streets and we didn't find it to be appropriate for the Icelandic weather. Second, the onboard tools for changing the tire were completely insufficient. The wrench was pretty worn and way to short to be able to losen the screws. Additionally, there was no tool to remove the distance ring to install the replacement tire. The pickup took a long time since the person told us a lot of stuff several times though we already confirmed that we are aware of it. Additionally, wrong information was given about road conditions and we didn't get to know that the chips on the key were discount chips for the fuel stations. When we had a flat tire due to driving through a screw, the support was very quick and helpful. If the tools for changing the tire would have been sufficient, this wouldn't have been an issue at all. The Dropoff was going very smooth. The guy was very kind and it was no issue at all to get a refund for the tire reparature and for the day we lost to drive 2x200km to a car service.

Thank you for the uncomplicated and quickly transaction from the booking, about the pick up at the airport and the Issuance and return of the rental car. The Duster was for us three with our luggage for two weeks really large enough. It was easy to drive and did what he was supposed to.

Rental went relatively well. Northbound is a booking agency, so we needed to call the actual rental company upon arrival for pickup (our flight was early). The pickup went relatively quickly, but we had to return the car shortly after driving away as the brakes were making a dangerous noise and vibration. The staff took it for a test drive and determined it needed maintenance, so they replaced our vehicle with a Mitsubishi SUV. Other than the time it took to do this, we really didn't have any complaints with the pickup. We purchased the higher end insurance, and this included a wifi for the vehicle. The wifi never worked after we drove off the lot. That was a bit frustrating. Returning went well other than having to wait 10-15 mins for a ride to the airport. Overall, not a bad experience, but give yourself some extra time for the pickup/ drop-off. The price and positive reviews made us go with Northbound, and we don't regret our decision. Communication was also very good.

My experience with Go Iceland through Northbound was great! It was super simple to pick up and drop off the car. They had 24hr service in case we needed help and the car itself was exactly as expected!

We really enjoyed it, the car worked great and the service was excellent. Finding the shuttle to the car was a challenge, we had to scan the airport lobby for 10 minutes before we found the driver - he was holding a sign with a bunch of car rental companies on it, including this one. Drop-off was seamless, and the transport to the airport was fast & efficient

Did the F35 a day after it opened. The Dacia has good ground clearance so no problems. Earlier did F249 from Selfoss and did 2 creek crossings 20 cm deep easily. On the tar it handles well and is fuel efficient. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The airport shuttle driver took us back to our bNB which was a nice bit of customer service. It was a 2023 model said the man but it had 48800km to start and we did 3300km in 12 days. I am worn out.

Overall I quite enjoyed this rental, the pick-up was fairly smooth, and uncomplicated, if not a little rushed. The agent at the desk neglected to take down the information for the second driver included in the booking (although we did not need a second driver, ultimately). Drop-off was smooth and uncomplicated, and very quick. The shuttle service was very convenient. The vehicle itself fit the bill of what we needed; it was versatile and handled Iceland's roads (at-times gravel and rocky) quite well. Although the reverse on the (manual) Dacia duster is somewhat confusing and unintuitive (you have to pull up on the ring at the base of the stick) - It would be helpful for the agents to explain that to customers picking it up, in the future!
