Go Iceland in Iceland

Hi, it would be nice to get a more clear comment that Northbound is an agency and the car rental is different. Mails have a mixture of English and German and some of the functions does not seem to work (e.g. "Sie werden nach airport () gefahren, wo Ihnen die Schlüssel zum Fahrzeug übergeben werden." or "Sie geben das Auto am airport (, ) zurück..."). So pickup was a little confusing. Go Island team was really good.

Well, the 2022 Jeep compass did a good job in severe winter conditions. But: you should not quote that this car can carry 4 person and 4 bags. Impossible, and did bring us closely the issue, to not carry all luggage at once (had luckily only 3 normal bags and 1 smaller one, which hat to be carried in the font)

The car was ok for us. It was clean and had everythong on board we needed. But the window had a stonedamage, no one told us, one door didn't close well, so that the noise from the wind was loud and to open the tank was difficult. So no big problems, but we would be happier, if someone had toll us, when we got the car.

Hey there, Unfortunately, our experience with Go Iceland were horrendous. All the employees working there were incredibly rude. The car that we got was dirty, not fully tanked and had many damages. After about 30 minutes driving with the car, the car's system said "check brake system". Since you have to be really careful with notifications about brakes, we stopped, googled the alert and realized that you should definitely not continue driving with such an alert. That's why we called Go Icelenad. They were extremely relcutant to help us and we had to wait about 2 hours until they arrived so we can switch cars. The second car had a major crack in the front window and also several other small damages. Also, the tank was only half full. All in all, horrible experience. Customer wise all of the employees were incredibly unhelpful, rude and showed no sympathy whatsoever.

Amazing car! Realy realy grumpy lady on the desk, that was not pleasant. Very derogatory toward us. We did everthing to borrow the creditcard of our parents but she just cheat us 150,- euros. That was not nice and fair. Please contact me if you want to compensate the trouble. But amazing car en good pick up from the airport and drop off. These employees were nice compared to the girl in the desk. For the drop off they mayby could a little more hurry because of cathing a flight :) but we didn't complained. Good price for the car. Tank contant could be bigger instead of 15 liters, we have to tank many times. Or give customers de plug to tank electric, also beter for the environment Thank you very much and have a nice evening. Iceland was amazing!! Best country ever, and that is a lot for a sober Frisian.

As I did not drive the Jeep Compass but an older Nissan Qashqai, i cannot judge.

I found really easy to book via northbound. Once at the airport I got confused cause I was looking for a sign with northbound on it, but when I called, staff told me to look for the go Iceland one and that if nobody was there, that he will arrive shortly. We got the shuttle to the office and we discovered that we had been upgraded for a bigger car and a 4x4 on top ( dacia Duster). It was definitely a nice surprise and totally suggest people to get that type of car from October on. The return was pretty easy as well, bit don't forget to ho there a bit ahead of time cause you might not be alone and the shuttle leaves when the whole return group is done. Make sure that you take pics of all the car, also under it , it was also suggested by the staff.
