Happy Campers in Iceland

Very good service and you know that you are doing the booking with the real people, not the automated machines. This helps to build confidence to pick a car and final the booking. The mechanism helps to compare price as well as basic information of the service and equipment the car has to offer. It would be good to provide more details about the car for the customer without going to check it from the car providers’ web site. Overall, I would recommend booking through northbound.

The Crafter is great to drive, and great to live in. There is one thing though I would like to give you feedback on. The view out of the back windows (through the back mirror) is not good. Partly because the model has two doors that meet in the middle, but also because the back windows have Happy Camper stickers that block most of the view. Some of the islandic (we found out) like to place them selves really close behind you where you can't see them in the side mirrors. We had some episodes where smaller cars that had been "hiding" behind us, suddenly showed up on our side to overtake us. This can be scary and with a bit of bad luck it can also be dangerous. My suggestion is to take away the stickers, and place the commercials somewhere else. Otherwise, great car, great company and great days on Island. Thank you!

The 2023 Volkswagen Crafter Automatic from Happy Campers we rented for our 2 week vacation in Iceland was great! It worked well for our family of 5, with 3 kids needing car seats. It accommodated all of us and our needs without any issues. The beds were more spacious than we had anticipated, cooking was adequate, and there was a lot of storage space for all of our things. Customer service at Happy Campers was excellent. Would definitely recommend and book again in the future!

Very good service and friendly people. The rental is really very expensive (about 280€ per day), but campsites are cheap. Volkswagen Transporter was comfortable, although cooking facility was minimal. Heater was very pleasant. Unfortunately we had a converter which caused a shortcircuit, so we had to find the fuses and replace them. Otherwise we couldn’t charge our mobile devices. Happy Campers was easy to reach but didn’t / couldn’t tell us right away where the fuses were to find. Most important: the country is amazing and the feeling of freedom so wunderfull in a campervan. Overall we were really pleased with the van and the people from Happy Campers

This is the best hire company I have ever dealt with, they make it so stress free and easy. The online information and booking system is exceptional. What I particularly liked was that there were no hidden extras. The staff were very helpful and professional and provided excellent communication responding to us after and during we experienced a flight delay. It did exactly as it said on the tin !! Thank you for making our Icelandic road trip so enjoyable.

I'm very happy with happy camper services, the vacation was great, the most Ioved was the freedom to stop where we wanted with no hotels reservation to respect. I will love to come again to Iceland in the future.
