Good
Overall a good experieince. We had trouble finding the Ice Rental rep in the arrivals area. He was not wearing anything related to Ice Rental nor carrying a board with the company name. Checkin and out counter service was good. No problem with the car but the Garmin seemed like it required an update. We had to resort to using the GPS on our phone (so why did we pay for the Garmin?).

This was a very decent car. It “fits 7” but it doesn’t fit 7 and their luggage. So really the car fits 5 with minimal luggage. However, I can’t say enough good about the staff- they were incredible helpful and friendly.

The car we used for the week ran perfectly and the entire trip was wonderful. But working with Ice Rental Cars was an absolute nightmare. I would never recommend them to anyone.

We had a good experience with Northbound rental cars. I usually don't purchase extra insurance, but glad I did for this trip. I would recommend it for all car renters. It was a bit hard to find our driver at the airport after we landed, but everything worked out ok.

Most everything went incredibly well with our rental, except for an encounter when picking up our vehicle. We had been told that since our credit card includes better CDW insurance we could remove the CDW even though it was included. When I mentioned this, a large man there brusquely told me that was not possible. He explained that they could not be chasing down my insurance company; I told him that was not the case - instead I would be on the hook for the potential damages and then I would submit it to my insurance, and there would be no responsibility on their end. After a bit of additional (and incorrect) man-splaining on his end, he then rudely told me I had the option to take the insurance and the car, or to leave. Worth noting that I was civil the whole time, and even offered to show him the information from my credit card company, which he declined to look at and continued to be extremely rude. The woman who was actually helping us was a dear, and was very apologetic for his mannerisms. I ended up getting them to sign, date and stamp a paper with their logo to explain they would not remove the insurance in case I needed to submit this to my credit card company; luckily when I returned the car there were no additional damages, so I didn't have to follow up on this process. The car, however, was fantastic, especially for the price which was much lower than competitiors. If you wanted all the extra insurance, they included CDW & gravel protection, which is another plus for some people. We had originally rented an HR-V, but were upgraded to a CR-V. It was immacuately clean, ran really well, and handled great. Perfect amount of space for four people with a bag each plus day packs. The tires did look like they are on their last leg, but the roads in Iceland are brutal so that's to be understood. It included GPS and wifi (although we did not use the wifi as we had our own, so I'm not sure if there was a limit on it or how well it worked). Worth noting it is a shuttle from KEF. Took about 45 minutes once we found the shuttle to get from the airport, get the car, and drive back to the airport to grab our friends (for whom there was not room in the shuttle). Worth it for the savings, just something to note if you're in a rush.

Outstanding!
Very good, the car was very clean and working alright. However, we had to wait a long half and hour in the airport till someone took us to your office, that would be the only thing to improve, in our opinión.

Outstanding!
The car was great, we did not book 4x4 but got it anyway, the price that included the maximum insurance coverage was lower than in other places. Check-in and drop off were fast and they drove as to KEF after drop off, it took 5 minutes from their office near KEF.
