Ice Rental Cars in Iceland

We rented an excellent car from Northbound--very well taken care of and low mileage. We arrived late at the airport and were picked up and off with our car in good time. Great experience.

The only downfall and very stressful part was upon arrival in Iceland at KEF there was not an agent waiting for us like was stating on our rental form. We searched the arrival terminal, asked information, and finally after waiting for 30minutes we made an expensive phone call to the car rental company to find out someone would be on there way to get us in 10min. After they finally arrived, the rest of the rental was easy and went well.

The car was in good condition and the staff that helped us were very nice and helpful. We had 6 guys (25-30yo) and a bag for each person. We fit everything and us pretty comfortably. Could not have done it without the 3rd row. Also price was good.

The car was very clean and safe to drive. It can easily support 6 passengers and two big bags. Had a minor misunderstanding about the insurance coverage in the beginning, but it was resolved fairly quickly.

Northbound is an exceptional Rental company. I was extremely pleased with the customer service and the car was amazing.

I was very very satisfied with the van that we rented. We had 7 people, 5 large suitcases and a number of smaller bags and everything fit comfortably in the van. Only recommendation I would give would be to make sure to leave plenty of time for the shuttle service as we had to wait over a half hour to leave the Ice Rental Cars office to the airport. Also be aware that the google maps listing for their office is out of date.

Great car- hit and miss service. When we got to the airport the person waiting for us had the wrong name on her welcome card, we had to ask around to find out what was going on. The people were friendly and helpful when it came to directions but seemed a bit disorganised. They laid it on pretty thick about buying the most expensive insurance and then about filling up the petrol tank... So I was then surprised to see that the tank was only about two-thirds full. The car itself was excellent and in great condition, useful sat nav and having a 4x4 was great in the icy conditions. It was expensive but everything in Iceland seems to be... When we dropped off the car the guy we were dropping it off with was helpful and flexible. So, overall a good car but I'm not sure I'd use Ice Rental Cars in a hurry, for the price I paid I'd expect as close to zero issues as possible.

The car was really clean and perfect for all our trip! We didn't have any problems with it, even for long distances and in the snow.

Fantastic. Great service, quick and painless, and with a pickup from the airport, as well as a drop-off, my wife and I were left without any worries or hassle.
