Outstanding!
I am satisfied both from car I got and from Lagoon Car Rental services. Car was exactly as I ordered and everything was working fine. Company replied fast and clear to all my e-mails and was helpfull. Although there were some complications at the beginning, the problem was solved quickly. Baseing on my experience I would totally recomend Northbound and Lagoon Car Rental.

We had a very positive experience renting with Lagoon. The truck and camper were exactly what we needed for our adventure. It was reliable and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They picked us up promptly from the airport. I appreciated that they didn't have big loud graphic logos all over the vehicle. It helped me feel not so touristy! Overall and excellent experience.

The car functioned perfectly well. But, there were a few problems upon our arrival. First, we were unsure of where to meet the shuttle to your office in the airport. Finally a man came in with a sign for Lagoon shuttle. Perhaps some better instructions to arriving customers would be good, explaining where to wait for the shuttle driver to arrive. Next, I made a mistake when booking when I didn't realize the time choices were in 24 hour format instead of 12 hour (am/pm) format, resulting in Lagoon thinking we were returning the car at 3 am. I had to pay for an extra day when we straightened that out. Not a big problem, just an unpleasant surprise. Maybe you could add a bold note on your website to remind customers of the 24 hour clock usage (US customers especially will not be as familiar with this clock format). Also, you should work on making the pick up process quicker. We were in your office for about an hour just to pick up a car. We were hungry and tired and didn't enjoy waiting around to get our car. Lastly, upon our return, we had a difficult time finding your office again. There's road construction going on that interferes with the GPS navigation instructions. Some additional signage to direct customers to your office, beginning where the road construction has closed the route, would be very, very helpful.

The car was alright for getting to all the major tourist attractions. Lagoon car rental was a fast process with fast pick up and drop off to and from the airport. Would use again.

Overall, the people at Lagoon Car Rental were not very helpful and seemed to not care at all about the customer. When we picked up the car, Gabriel handed us a set of keys and a clipboard and told us to go outside and mark the damage on the car. When I asked which car in the parking lot, he told me to just press the unlock button on the keys until I see the lights come on on the car. He did not show us features on the car, how to insert the floppy disk sort of key, and did not even step foot outside to help us with the car. It felt very impersonal and was poor customer service. When we brought the car back it was similar. There would be employees walking around in the lobby but no one acknowledged us or helped us. Finally after standing there for about 10 minutes, someone actually stopped and asked if we were returning or picking up. I was not impressed with Lagoon Car Rental.

The car was ok. It had very bald tires and even though we never got a flat we worried about that and traction in the rain. Should have asked for a different car when picking it up.

Wonderful! The van we rented came with everything we needed to stay warm at night, and the customer service was excellent. We had rented a 4G hotspot for our trip and due to a number of bookings on the same day it turned out that the Keflavik office had none left when we went to pick up the car. Due to the inconvenience, they gave us a GPS for the length of our trip as we needed to pick up the hotspot in their other location.

Van was in great shape. Very spacious for 6 passengers with their steamer trunks. First time driving a diesel stick but honestly could not tell the difference from a gas engine.

Excellent- only issue was it was a bit noisy (road noise). The passenger windshield wiper was not working well and I could not find a replacement that had the correct attachment fitting so my wife had to look through a less than clear window off and on for two weeks. Otherwise it handled well and it had excellent fuel economy! I felt it was a reliable vehicle overall.

The car was fantastic, great car. But....we got the car with a very bad smell ..maybe dog urine or similar. We did not notice because it might have been vented but we had to keep venting the car for days, This really was not good at all. The car was not completely clean when we got it, looks that they were in a hurry to get it ready for us. A clean and not smelly car would have made all the difference.

The folks at Northbound were great. My wife and I rented a 2017 Volkswagen Caddy Camper. The campers here are't obnoxiously painted like many of the others on the island which stick out like a sore thumb. Everyone spoke english and communicated via email promptly. Shuttle to and from the airport was great and on-time.

We had a good experience with our rental. Pick up and drop off were easy, and friendly employees. I'd definitely use them again if traveling through Iceland.

I got what I expected. Outback, diesel, allowed for F-roads, clean inside and outside. The car had few minor scratches but they all had been recorded. Had no problems with the car or service.

Renting a campervan couldn't have been easier! We hired a VW caddy and absolutely loved it! The staff were friendly and helpful - pick up and drop off made everything so simple. My partner and I got engaged 2 days before coming to Iceland and renting a VW campervan topped off an already holiday perfect! Takk!

I doubt I would use Lagoon again. The Sorento drove well but had a cracked video display. Lagoon gave a wifi for the car at noadditional cost, which we didn't use. The car had numerous scratches and a large scrape on the front fender. These things were all known at check out with the car. I believe this car should not be in the rental fleet. Numerous times a bell was sounding but we didn't know why. Perhaps if the video screen wasn't damaged we would have know. The windshield wipers had a mind if their own. During use, the wipers would go from intermittent to rapid speed even with little rain. Not sure if this is related to the electrical stuff with the video screen. Checkin and check out very slow since everything was had written. On return of car, with 6 of us and luggage we were initially told we had to wait for the van that was loading for that van to return since it had already 5 people. We asked about a 2nd van and after a while a driver came from the back and drive us. It seemed like they were bothered to do this. I chose lagoon because getting a vehicle for 6 passengers lagoon was the best value for a larger car. I would check a major car rental first before choosing lagoon. I did request a partial refund, but was told no, but I could request sending an email. I would like to tell you that Liam at northbound was very helpful and responded promptly to each of my emails. I would definitely choose northbound again, but probably not pick Lagoon as my car rental.
