Actually upgraded to a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross which was great. Lava Car were very easy to deal with.

We were upgraded to a Mitsubishi. It was very good.

Finding the right car with the best offer from various providers, as well as the subsequent booking, was very easy and straightforward. We were supplied with the necessary information and documents up to the trip. Thank you. We would book our car through Northbound again. The car was perfect for our trip. We had no issues at all, even though we went to the Highlands three times.

Car was great. Lava rentals could do a much better job of customer service, showing how to use the car and providing a full tank of petrol (ours was only half full).

We really enjoyed our trip to Iceland. The camper van was fun to have. We were comfortable in the van; slept well and it drove good. The staff was very friendly and very helpful, both at pick up and drop off. I did notice that the right rear hubcap was held on by zip ties and was concerned that if the zip ties broke, we would lose the hubcap. I did point that out to the staff. We also noticed that when we turned on the heater it produced a lot of smoke. The staff explained that that is ok with the initial turn on however I noticed that it smoked a lot even after running for a while. It made it a bit uncomfortable with getting in and out of the van at night since we didn't want the back to be filled with carbon monoxide. So, we tried to "time" opening the back door at night.
