Nordic Car Rental in Iceland

The people were very friendly and pleasant to deal with. An overall positive experience. Very quick response time for customer service.

The car was relatively new and sturdy. The auto 4 wheel drive worked like a charm and the car performed well through the rough winds and was a pleasure to drive.

From start to finish the process of renting was easy and hassle free, I was even able to change the booking as our holiday plans changed.

We had a Grand Vitara , no problem with a car , only with a low batterie and some days with low temperature is not possible to open all the doors with remote control , only the door driver and after we needed to start engine for open the rest . The battery need to be exchanged . Good welcome at the office personal are very friendly . Best regards Serge

This company was fabulous to work with. We were part of wow airlines closing. I had to change all of our trip and excursions. Northbound rebooked the vehicle we wanted slightly different and they accommodated our needs.

Amazing experience

Really great service -- we paid in advance, and got the car and the insurance for a really good price. We picked our car up in terrible weather, the team were great about letting us check it over before we left because there were a couple of cosmetic marks on it. Car itself was in decent condition to drive and worked great over our 4 day holiday, and the airport pick-up and drop-off was prompt. We'd use Northbound again.

We found the condition of the vehicle disappointing. The back window wiper is simply not functional, and the drivers’ side wiper provides very difficult visibility (although the passenger side is in good condition). The shifting stick fabric is torn appart, and fortunately you were able to provide a USB to cigarette lightening plug connector, otherwise our USB connector could not charge our phone, which would have been a major safety issue with a dying phone while traveling between towns. Security is our primary concern with this rental car, as the rear window should at least be visible in a stormy winter condition like today. Unfortunately, for these reasons, we cannot be recommending your company due to the poor car condition. On a final note, your service was good at check-in, however please make the necessary repairs on this rental fleet. And it look to us that communication between the retail points could be improved for we got a phone call clarifying drop off, even though it was clear from the contract that drop off point would be different that pick-up.

Good but rather old car; some defect in the electronic panel.

The car is perfect, would have given a rating of 5 if not because of making us wait for two hours at the airport before pick-up. I literally needed to call to inform that we are at the airport waiting for hours.

No representative at the airport to meet us, but not a major issue as we contacted them by phone. Everything else ran very smoothly. Decent car which did everything we needed. We even managed to see the Northern Lights, although I don't think we can credit Nordic with that.

Rental process was easy. Someone came to pick us up at the airport and made it even easier. Drop off was efficient. I would rent with them again.

Was ok, guy picked us up on time, really nice guy, not great with English but really gave his best to tell us some guidelines about Iceland and driving there which helped a lot, also told us some background on Iceland. Picking up the car was a delight, no que no hold up, lady at the reception was delightful, explained everything and answered all our questions. Customer service was A++++ Only the car was pretty beaten up, check engine light was on all the time and passenger doors were hard to open and close (told the lady at the reception at the time of pickup) she sent someone to inspect it and he said it’s some tyre sensors that are broken but it’s ok to drive. Also front tyres were worn out completely which we didn’t notice until we started driving on snow (which was a real challenge with tyres in that bad of a condition). Since we decided to keep the car for one more day I rang in the morning and it was no problem, brought back the car later in the evening without any issues, payed extra for the day and the guys dropped us back to the hotel. Apart for these issues with the car everything was tip top! Would definitely recommend and definitely rent from you again.

Excellent. Very helpful people, and the car was exactly what we needed.

It got us around comfortably enough. The experience getting the car from Nordic was not ideal upon arrival. The car wasn’t clean, had puddles on the mats in the front seat. Windows were dirty, door was somewhat broken. The drop off experience was better.
