It was a good value and handled just fine

It's been great, the car works fine. Pick up was easy. Only dropping off the car was a little bit tricky because we didn't see the office. But all is well. Happy with the car and service.

Was all good

I rented 3 cars for our group totally over 40 days of rentals. In general it was a fair experience your lower price was the attraction. I had rented this vehicle for 2 weeks and to turn it 4 days early because of illness, When I requested a refund I was originally told no, I was eventually given a 2 day refund, Given i had rented 3 cars there should have be no question refunding the 4 days. Allowing only a 3 hour window to pay the tunnel fee is a tourist trap. People are there to enjoy their vacation and scenery of Iceland not rush around looking for a internet connection trying to time a tunnel crossing, Placing a surcharge on top of it is just wrong. Makes Iceland look like a 3rd world country. I did not like the idea I had to inspect the vehicle for previous damage and make notes on a sheet, to much room for error or overlooked imperfections, it should not be on the renter to document the problems. Makes your company look cheap and that you are out to rip off the customer on return. Waited close to 2 hours for airport pickup, that was not acceptable.

Not straight from the airport, shuttle brings you to the pick up place but that went smooth. You get half a tank and have to return a half tank - we returned 3/4 and were not refunded anything; pitty and downside on the customer service side. Apart from that all okay.

The vehicle was adequate but was very scratched and dented plus when we opened the front passenger window, it would not go back up automatically. all in all, it was a reasonable price so I was satisfied but I would not pay more for this particular vehicle.

Mechanically the car ran great with no issues. My only gripe would be the windshield wipers. I don’t know when the last time they were changed was but you guys must change them on the vehicle I drove ASAP. It was borderline dangerous driving in the rain, it just smeared the water and didn’t make it any clearer seeing out of the windshield. I would suggest you check the wipers on all the vehicles in the fleet just to be safe. Our windshield did not crack but with the amount of chips in the windshield already, it would be a shame for one of them to splinter across the whole windshield and leave some unlucky customer paying for months and months of accumulated damage. Customer service was great, promptly picked us up and took us to the airport. All around great service, just change the windshield wipers on the Duster with plate LTJ73

Our experience with Nordic Car Rentals was excellent. We were picked up promptly at the airport and provided with the car with the minimum of fuss. The car proved reliable and excellent for our needs. Drop off was speedy and without any hastle.

Nordic Car Rental was very great overall. The pickup & dropoff worked seamlessly, and the staff was very helpful and responsive with all of our questions. The vehicle handled wonderfully, and stood up to extreme weather conditions and some bumpy roads. I would highly recommend this company and car to anyone travelling through Iceland.

It was great to drive our rental Jimny through the beautiful scenery of Iceland. The price was great, the pick-up and drop-off were quick and easy!

I can say just the best about Northbound. The airport-shuttle has worked really well and the staff was friendly and helpful. I somehow managed to book two cars instead of one, and even this was no problem. I could easily cancel one of the bookings and the down payment was returned within a few days. The car was in good condition and we had no problems with it whatsoever. Thank you Northbound for making our Iceland journey so easy and enjoyable!

Good company, and good car. The light broke in the middle of the trip but because I had good insurance there was no problem. My advice, take lots of pictures before signing your contract.

Our experience with Nordic Car Rental was very good. We got the exact car we rented and it was in perfect conditions. The people were really nice and the paperwork was fast. Our only critique would be that there was no bluetooth or another way to play music from the cellphones, which was a bit of a disappointment. In addition, the windshield was not working 100%. But apart from that, everything was ok.

I rented a car for nearly a week, the transfer was great and there where no surprises with returning and picking up the car. I Will rent my car here again next time.

Good experience; efficient pick-up from the airport and quick to get the vehicle on arrival at the office. The vehicle had some damage on it but was perfectly fine to drive; it was up to us to check the vehicle over and mark all damage on a form - it would be better for this to be documented in advance as it should already be known what damage exists. The driver could then check they agree with what is marked. The fuel policy was full to full but the tank was only 90% full; there was no chance we would be able to return it with exactly the same amount of fuel so we had to add more to avoid further charges. Customer service was excellent; left my wallet in the car but this had been found and was returned to me at the airport.

Not a great car in the weather conditions that Iceland experiences. Did not feel safe on many of the roads (which were mostly clear) but wind made them extremely hazardous. Next time I would hire a much sturdier car. I would have found honesty from the hire company that the car I am hiring is suitable for Iceland and not a ‘toy’ car as was how it was described on our return of the car. Found this offensive.

I traveled to Iceland and I rent a Suzuki Vitara Diesel. Very capable car with higher & larger tires than ones I saw on road. Very useful on Ice and snow. Consumption was also good 600km with one full tank. Team very Helpful and friendly. I made a mistake in our reservation and it was solve very quickly. Only issue was they supply to me an old RAV 4 at my arrival. After my refusal they found solution to provide me my order, the morning the day after at Reykjavik.

Hello Sir, Very good price, in general very good car condition, except milage 160k bit risky when we go around whole Iceland, so please provide such details in advance to people. You can differentiate even the price range for fresher cars. Gasoline was 1/4th this is not acceptable and I never seen in Europe such things before. You always give full tank and receive full or charge people extra if it is not full. Airport transfer, 1h delay because some of your team members didn't want to work that day, not acceptable, so please improve that. Otherwise I have very positive experience for that price.

The Suzuki SX4 is in good condition (of course there are some scratches because of old car) and fit 3 of our family and suitcase, we drive around Iceland with no problem. There are same options for car model, insurance, etc. for you to choose like other companies but the price seemed the best, so we did choose this model with Nordic Car Rental and everything went well.
