Car Rentals in Iceland

Really old car with more than 200.000 km and a lot of stuff unusable. GPS out, warning lights in the dash, wipers out, really hard to close the trunk .......

I changed my opinion about Dacia Duster. The car is just perfect and good to go on 4x4 roads.

Easy service for pick up and drop off. Friendly and helpful staff. No issues.

Our experience with Go Car was hassle free and very straight forward. Our flights were delayed but there was still someone who met us at the arrivals hall to take us to the car. Their prices were definitely the best value and the 2019 jimny was a great little 4x4.

The Renault Trafic was perfect size for our group of nine. It has plenty of room for our luggage. The large windows aloud all of us to witness the beauty of lceland. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well

The diesel 4 x4 Dacia Duster from Lava Car Rental was a great suv. It was great on and off roads and was resonable priced. Lava Rentals did a great job, everything was quick and easy. Great service! Tom

Good service. We arrived at the airport an hour early and they came to pick us up anyway. The insurance was explained well and it was easy to get a hold of who we needed to when we needed too.

Perfect and cheap. Easy to book and change. Good service all the way from booking to goodbuy.

The motor home was great. It fit all 6 of us perfectly. It had great gas mileage and was very clean. The rental company is a bit out of the way from the city but not to far from the airport. Nothing is included with your rental and you have the option to pay and add it on. The company does have a drop off service when you return your vehicle which is convenient.

Our experience with Lagoon Rental was good overall, but our arrival experience was quite stressful. We had arrived after a very long day of travel and two flights and waited quite a long time for their shuttle driver to come. We had to call several times and this was difficult as we did not have roaming for Iceland. They kept saying the person was coming, or had come, but it is a very small arrival area and their meeting place was in our sight the entire time. It is very hard when you have others in your group and you just want to get the car and get to your accommodations. When the shuttle driver did arrive there were several other people waiting and not everyone could fit in their van. They really need to do something about that. We advised them repeatedly that we were four adults with luggage. People in another group stayed behind and their driver was going to come back to get them. You do have to be very meticulous about identifying every tiny scratch or dent on the car. We had no problems with the car at all and the return was uneventful and we got a quick ride to the terminal but given our arrival situation, we had allowed over an hour for the return process. Our car was fine and in good condition. We had brought our own GPS but we discovered that the car actually had its own and it worked but the company never said a word to us about that.

I liked it very much. I had no previous experience with that type of car and I picked it because I had seen my neighbour driving it. Although the car had some scraches on it's surface, it work perfectly, drove very well and brought us through very bad roads and wether.

It was a VERY GOOD experience, the car I rent is the car I got, the car is like NEW. very clean, the tires are also in a VERY good condition. The only thing I have to complain about is why they don't release my deposit of $3500 at the same time they get the car back like all other company's, I still waiting for the cancel on my Visa for that Besides, that is Fantastic

Fara did an excellent job and exceeded our expectations. We received a Subaru XV instead of the Hyundai Tucson. This wasn't a big deal as the Subaru was an AWD and met our needs. The customer service was excellent.

Was perfect fit our purposes. And we knew it from 2018.
