Go Iceland in Iceland

There was just one hiccup with Go Iceland. They were supposed to meet us at the airport when we landed (10:30 pm) but they were a no show. We had to take a taxi to our hotel. We called them the next morning and they came and picked us up and after that everything was perfect. The car was great and the customer service was excellent. However, there was no mention of why we were left waiting at the airport but otherwise everything was super.

It was good, but maybe brakes require some additional attention, it worked properly but the sound of it suggested brake blocks are to be changed :⁠-⁠) I really like the staff, professional & easy-going. Reservation conditions are clear & simple, additional insurance and no deposit is the thing you do well and should be underlined in your offer I think. Special thanks to a Polish guy who were responsible for our service at the desk, I don't remember his name.

The team was very young but really supportive. We had trouble on the road, but they provided suggestions via Whatsapp and we were able to solve the issue. I am really happy with them! The car itself was very good, full optional, even if quiet expensive in terms of fuel use (only 10 km with 1L).

The cons: The car has a very high fuel consumption rate of about 7.8 liters per 100km and even being a very careful driver, I think it's too much for this kind of vehicle. The positioning of the window display of the velocity and speed limits can in fact be regulated, but unfortunately for a tall person like me, even putting the display in the minimum level I still could not see it completely. The GPS display is too bright for night use, it uses a white backgound that is very uncomfortable when driving, so we used our smartphones instead. I didn't try to change the settings, so, maybe it is configurable I really don't know, I just would suggest that if it's indeed configurable, you could put it in night mode by default. The tires are missing some of the snow spikes, but still they are good and secure, we didn't have any issue and never felt that we were driving an insecure car. We loved the Jeep Compass that we rented from Northbound. It had all the bells and whistles, keeping us safe. We named it Chandler, because he would Bing warnings at us. It got us through snow, ice and slush with no problems. Great car makes a great trip.

we wanted to rent car on diesel but unfortunately we got on petrol... However everything was good.

Hi Ivar, Jeep was fine. Only issue was windscreen wiper fluid was frozen on pick-up. We bought a new container but it wasn’t needed. Plane was late. Meet person very matter of fact, His meet board showed the car company amongst a few others so was not very visible on first look, not helped by me looking for a northbound guy! Return guys were more jovial. All in all a good experience.
