Car was super clean and in good condition. Pickup was needlessly slow. I mean we waited an hour and a half just to sign 2 papers. Drop off was 5 minutes deal.

I was very frustrated with the car rental. Even though the car worked just fine it was old and had a lot of wear and tear on it. When we first saw the car, we walked around it and took pictures of some of the damage. We also pointed out other areas and the person said, “that’s no problem” “we see it” he then wrote the slip and gave us the car. Having an older car that had dings and dents didn’t bother us until we went to return it. When we went to return it, he accused us of making some of the dents. He said that we must have climbed on the hood and dented it. This wasn’t the case at all. We never climbed on the car, never had any accidents or anything even close to an accident. I didn’t appreciate the way he handled it. He then said that he will submit it to the main office in Reykjavík. If they have pictures of the prior damage then we are ok. If not, then we are going to have to pay for it. Again, I thought I was accused of something I didn’t do. We purposely didn’t drive off-road, into the highlands etc. we stayed on main roads the entire time. If they end up trying to charge me for something I didn’t do, we will have bigger problems.

Our rental through Northbound went great. The car was priced well, the customer service was very responsive, and the airport pickup was seamless. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Iceland!

The experience was really good and quick. Sadly I hit a rough spot while driving and damage the bumper. I’m glad I took full coverage and everything was settle with ease. They told me everything is covered and just drop the key with them is all I need to do. Highly recommended and also highly recommended to purchase those insurance!

WHAT AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH GO ICELAND AWFUL !! I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN WITH THEM FIRST OF ALL THEY CHARGE ME TWICE THE AMOUNT WHEN I PICK UP THE VEHICULE IT MEANS THEY CHARGE ME TWO TIMES THE AMOUNT OF 1500 EUROS AND THEN I HAVE TO PROVE IT FOR THEY DID NOT WANT TO RECOGNIZE IT, IN SPITE I SEND A COPY OF WHAT APPEARS ON MY BANK ACCOUNT SO I HAVE HAD TO CALL MY BANK AND ASK FOR HELP... SO THEY AT LAST RECOGNIZE THEIR ERROR AND GAVE ME BACK THE 1500 EUROS THEN I GOT A PROBLEM ON THE CAR WITH THE WINDSHIELD WHICH FEELED OR CRACKED BECAUSE OF A THERMAL SHOCK:( NOT A ALL MY RESPONSABILITY ) JUST THE COMBINATION OF THE VERY COLD TEMPERATURE ANT THE HEATING INSIDE THE CAR WHEN I PUT IT ON IN THE VERY EARLY MORNING IN THE MOUNTAIN AREA, SO I HAD TO PAY AN EXTRE 600 EUROS THEY NEVER WANTED TO BELIEVE. ME AND SAID IT WAS ONLY DUE TO A GRAVEL CAUSE SO AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH GO ICELAND; NEVER NEVER AGAIN WITH GO ICELAND

The car was great and all the process ran smoothly. Only one small thing happened, the rearview mirror from the passenger side was cracked and we didn't notice it when we took the car. But we called the service of Go Iceland and they took note and apologized for it.

All was ok, the free shuttle from the airport, the car was as expected, I recommend
