Lava Car Rental in Iceland

Car was perfect for my iceland trip! No issues the whole rental experience was very smooth. Waited around 10 minutes for the shuttle to show up when I arrived at KEF but overall shuttle was very fast!

When arrived booked Dacia was not available so we got a better and almost brand new car (Nissan Qashqai) for free. Perfect service, would recommend with no hesitation.

Lava Car Rental was reliable and great! They offered us free coffee when picking up the car, and provided discount gas cars for the trip.

The rental process was easy and we enjoyed our trip. However, we were not provided with the 2018 Nissan NV200 Camper Manual but were given a smaller van (Renault Kangoo) and told that this was an upgrade because it was an automatic transmission. This was not the van I had reserved to rent and I wasn't completely satisfied with the van or that the rental company (Lava Car Rental) did not accommodate my reservation nor provide a discount.

This was a really cool way to get around Iceland and we had a great time. Everything we needed was included in the campervan and we didn't even need the heating at night we were toasties. Recommend wholeheartedly. Thanks Lava.

The staff was super kind, price was cheap, the car was in a good condition (except of a couple of damages on the outside), pick up and drop of were absolutely no problem and the care was cleaned right before the hand over 👍🏼 I would highly recommend Lava Car Rental!

It was fine. Easy to drive and excellent fuel economy. Camping for two not so skinny people was rather tight though. Reasonably comfortable bed despite the tight quarters. Very efficient storage design and the van came with all utensils etc that we needed.

We did just accept the fact that we did not have a water tank because it was broken. Also the defect plug in for the cooler was something we just accepted. And Lava Car just charged us with such a high handling fee and gave us no info with the fine for the toll road. To pay the toll road is totally fine of course (1.500 ISK). But handling fee for 4.500 ISK on top is just rude. I do not call that a customer friendly car rental Service Action, even it was in the rental agreement. A short information about that would be very helpful.

It was a fantastic experience. There were several dings and dents on the van, but it was a smooth, comfortable ride with good gas mileage. It was warm, and the camping gear was perfect for our needs. All together we had an amazing experience. The costumer support was GREAT!

Thank you but very dispointed with the car . Always a warning on the dashboard ( tires, injection... ) we never felt safety. The wipers very old and do not dry the window . And the right door in front should have had an accident : even if it closed it was like the window was open ( air and wind could get through) . I told it when we bring back the car but the man did not care about it ...

Wszystko było perfekt. Cała procedura wypożyczania od wstępnych ustaleń, aż do oddania samochodu, który zresztą spisywał się nienagannie. Tylko cena wypożyczenia była bardzo wysoka.
