Lotus Car Rental in Iceland

Good and quick service , the car was almost new and clean.

The car was in a really good condition, absolutely clean and well maintenenced. I didn't recognized first that this car is a hybrid - the batteries were completely unloaded when in got it and so the range was only about about 300 kilometers. But despite of that, we had not an single problem with the car an had a really good time in Island! The tires were really good and so we managed to do all the trips that we wanted to do, desptite of really worse road-conditions.

The Car was very clean and just as I booked. It was really nice that i could directly choose the language of the car as soon as i got in. It was brand new with only one rent before mine and worked with no problems with one small thing. The tire pressure sensor went off after about 1 hour of driving. I checked the tire pressure it was fine so I called the rental company. They didn't quite got what the problem was and told me to just drive. I solved the problem by initialising the tire pressure again. The technical support could be better and maybe give the costumer a flyer of the car with details about the car like hight, weight and tire pressure.

It was a nice car with a familiar feel...

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen due to problems with our flight (1st flight was cancelled, 2nd flight did not get permission for landing due to bad weather conditions in reykjavik) we cannot visit iceland in february. Nevertheless I was very satisfied with your service as you were available every time I phoned you. Your support was excellent and very kind. Therefore I will to next car rental by northbound again! go on like this!

This was my 2nd rental in Iceland from Northbound. They have quickly become my go-to source for rental cars. From there, you can see a wide range of cars from multiple suppliers. A key benefit is that they include the most relevant insurance for their cars. Renting in Iceland is quite different from renting in North America or Europe where you don't have to worry about damage from volcanic dust, windshield breaks, hail, and other things. When I turned in my car at Lotus, they looked and said "oh, you rented from Northbound so you are covered". I was done with check-in in about a minute! We all look for the best deal, but peace of mind is worth a lot to me. The Lotus Rav4 was perfect for Iceland, and it even had snow tires that allowed us to deal with what was pretty nasty February driving conditions! Overall, great experience.

Our car was perfect for Iceland and we really didn’t want to give it back! We absolutely loved our trip and Lotus Car Rentals made everything so easy which really took the stress out of the trip. The service was excellent from them collecting us from the airport, arranging all the paperwork, collecting our car and then returning it and dropping us back at the airport. The staff were impeccable and I 100% recommend Lotus Car Rental to anyone looking to hire a car in Iceland. We will definitely be using them again when we return!!

Very nice workers and very accommodating. We initially rented the Jimmy but it was way too small and the cage in the back was very inefficient. We asked to change a different vehicle and they did it instantly. They were very understanding.

Car was brand new, a pleasure to drive, and allowed us to do 800km in snowy conditions all around Iceland with ease! Lotus Car rental is amazing, they set us up with a wifi so we could gps from our phone to get around and all of the people we worked with at Lotus were amazing- A+++

Our experience with Northbound and Lotus Car Rental was completely trouble free. The transfer to and from the airport was easy and worth it to save so much money. They weren’t waiting for us at the airport as they said, but they arrived within a few minutes after calling. The car seemed brand new and well maintained. I would definitely recommend these guys!

We had an issue on the road in the way to the airport, so we called the office in the way to drop off the vehicle to tell them that we have to hurry because we'll lost the flight. We don't notice that they were helping us in our urgent situation. So we had to wait for the transport almost 5-6 minutes when flight closed doors in 9 minutes. Nobody in the office picked us exceptionally to get us to the airport. I was expecting that. On the other side, we were able to flight back because the other security workers in the airport helped us to arrive finally to the departure gate.

The Pick Up was OK, right in time. What I didn't like was the Not fully Gas tank, Just filled with 80%. Will not know what happens If I had given it back with a not fully tank. Also i was missing more information what to do in a Case of a accident, broken Car, etc. At other Rental Cars i got a Hotline number, where i could ask to i.e. unplug the Power cable. Allover was the Car ok

Service was absolutely hassle free, staff was very helpful and the optional WiFi pick was an absolute must for travel! Would absolutely recommend.

Supper service! We were picked up right after our arrival in KEF and got the car in 20 mins(with shuttle to the pickup point). 4x4 car is the only option if someone really wants to explore Iceland their own, and the car provided to us went though all the terrain challenge we've met quite easy. Also we've got LTE modem with wifi access point for car, which was super helpfull! Our flight back was quite early so we needed to drop off the car and have a shuttle back to KEF airport at 4 AM, and it was not a problem for the Lotus team. So: Fully satisfied. Will definitely use again and recommend.

This was our first time dealing with Northbound and I must say everything was flawless from start to finish. The reservation, the confirmation and even the contact info when I had a question and needed to speak to someone in person. The vehicle was exactly what was reserved online and it was immaculate. As soon as we got our luggage, there was a young man there to greet us. He was very professional. Holding a clear sign up so we knew exactly who we were looking for. The check in process at your location was easy. The young man behind the desk couldn’t have been nicer. We were greeted with a smile and all of the important info we needed. Hi Ivar, the day we arrived there was abit of a storm and for a person whom was new to driving very dark windy rainy roads and not to mention the wrong side of the road.! The car performed extremely well, very user friendly. Under the immense environmental stresses its automation made driving less stressful which helped me experience your country easier.
