Nordic Car Rental in Iceland

After my plane was late and it was the middle of the night, I called for the shuttle and was promptly picked up. The car was serving it’s purpose of getting us around, and the drop off and security deposit refund went smoothly as well. Very great customer service. Highly recommended for Iceland explorers. The gas discount was a nice touch on top of everything!

Everything was in good condition. After 2 Days the Jimny an I became friends :)

This car is probably close to its retirement age as a rental car. It still works, and had no failures during my rental, but is definitely showing signs of age. However, the main problem I had with the car was that I intended to use it on F-roads, for which it is not at all suitable. I realize I should have done more research myself, to figure out that a Suzuki S-cross is not really an SUV, but rather a regular small car with 4WD. The road I attempted was nothing extreme, and would by no means require a super-jeep. A regular, medium-sized SUV with slightly bigger wheels and higher ground clearance than normal cars would work fine, even without 4WD. The S-cross has low ground clearance and very small wheels with fairly low tire profile, and did not work at all.

We got a Hyundai i10, which was similar to the Kia Picanto. It was in a correct condition and there was a professional method to indicate the dents and scraches. The pick-up at location was also correct and on time.

The car was ok, a bit old, but she did her job :)

Overall, great experience. Checkin was quick, drop off shuttle was timely, and our car worked perfectly.

Generally, everything was ok, but we had to wait an hour in the airport when we arrived to be picked up, i know the driver goes to the airport every 20 minutes more or less, but is difficult to see him if he doesn't move or makes visible his signal. Another thing was the car, it was great, but we paid for a diesel one, and were given a 95 fuel, wich is more expensive and has more consume of fuel. Thanks for asking.

We had some problems with front tyres that were in very bad conditions. The rest was Ok.

Buena relación calidad/precio. Lo único mejorable podría ser la antigüedad del vehículo, pero entiendo que es acorde a los precios ofertados. Muy buena experiencia en general. Absolutamente recomendable.

We loved our vehicle and the overall experience was good. However, checking in and out was a bit lengthy, but staff was friendly. I would recommend more staffing at peak times.

Great car, everything was fine. The vehikel though with lots of kilometers was very reliable. The only lack was, that we missed a CD-Player on board. These are probably the modern times. The serive people was very friendly and the transfer worked well.

Checkin was a bit chaotic; Had to track down the shuttle to the car rental place and once there we were asked to pick a number but then the people working behind the counter never advanced the number -- eventually no one was checking in and we were just sitting in a room next to the checkin until finally we just went up to the counter to ask to be checkin. Car - overall the car worked well except one headlight was out, the windshield wipers didnt work well and it came with a tire that had a slow leak. Overall everything worked out fine and the pricepoint was good but had to put up with some small annoyances.

the car went well, but the wheels were very old and when we swollen one burst. the mechanic commented that they were in a very bad condition and that the two front wheels had to be changed, therefore, it shows that the cause of the busting was due to the bad condition of the same, and it is not logical that we had to pay it. . We demand, therefore, the return of the amount of the invoice of the same

The price was good. the car started showing oil/service light withing 200km of driving

Perfect for a small family (2 adults with one child), could go everywhere on asphalt roads and basic gravel roads. Don’t use much essence and easy to drive / park. Only missing tools is a proper USB charger (imbedded one don’t charge smartphone), had to buy on to plug in cigar lighter.

The car they gave was damaged and when we asked for another car they said we could happily cancel our booking and get our deposit back. We requested for another car and the other car was also damaged intact more than the previous one. We were left with no option and in the situation we decided to select the less damaged car as we thought it would be almost impossible to find a new rental car as all were fully booked due to summer rush. We were very disappointed as we had booked our rental car 7 months in advance and paid deposit then. I would never recommend to rent a car from Nordic Car Rentals any of my friends.

In general, the attention was fine. We arrived to Keflavik airport at 2 am. Although our name was not in the list, the driver brought us to the office (thanks Bogdam). In that moment we were informed that our booked was not in the system, and none car was available. However, staff arranged the situation. We drove a manual car without any incidence, only point out that car picture in the website seems more bigger. In the drop off, the difference was returned(we had paid for an automatic car)
