Hey! I went to Iceland on March (before covid) for holidays. It was a great experience. GO Car had frequent airport pickup. The vehicle behaved perfectly (Dacia Duster). Price was alright. They offered a ride back to our hotel the day we had to return the car. The one thing that could have been better is to inform beforehand about the payment sistem for the tunnels (I didn't know about the online payment of the tunnel to the north of Akureyri and they charged me an additional tax)

je ne suis pas sur de relouer une voiture avec Icerental 4x4 .a la réception de mon véhicule on me certifie au moment de la signature du contrat de location que le plein de carburant est fait ! je prends mon véhicule et je m'aperçois que le plein n'est pas full ! mais étant fatigué du voyage je ne réclame pas la différence. C'est à la restitution du véhicule que cela ce complique .ayant fait le plein de carburant la veille sur Reykjavik ,le lendemain je me rends à l'endroit de la restitution(50 kilomètres) et là,la personne me réclame le plein(oui je viens de faire 50 kilomètres) et me demande de justifier que je n'avais pas le plein lors de la restitution par une photo (que je n'avais pas bien sur)et me demande de refaire le plein à une station la plus proche ,sauf que se jour là ,le système de carte bancaire ne fonctionné nul part ! on pourrais au avoir le bénéfice du doute ou nous proposer un forfait de 10 euros sur place(pour l'appoint de carburant) pour éviter une perte de temps et de stress avant de prendre l'avion!

The car I rented was a Dacia Duster. It was a great vehicle for my trip to the frozen North of Iceland in February 2020. The car was in a good condition and I haven´t had any mechanical problems with it what so ever. I would most likely hire a car here again, if I´ll return to Iceland.

We rented this vehicle in Feb/Mar for 5 people and drove the whole ring road over two weeks. This car was fantastic through all the ice, snow and blowing snow! It handled very well!

Was dissapointed as because i dont use credit cards i had to purchase extra insurance which cost about 60 pound more than i was orignally quoted for the car

Fine car and safe. Doors didn't closed very well, wind came through and tailgate sometimes opened spontaneously. The windscreen wipers, front- and back window, needed to be replaced, didn't work properly. Service was ok. When we picked up the car it was rather odd we didn't got any explanation of the car at all. Here is the key and do you ride... Returning the car was fine and friendly.

Everything about renting with Northern Lights was great. The car was exactly as described and the people were very helpful. The only thing that could be improved is that the check-in and check-out process took a very long time because they only had 1 person working at the time.

The rental pick-up and return process was very smooth - it made all the difference in how quickly we could be on our way as well as back to the airport when we returned the car. The rental agents were very good at explaining driving rules (safety) as well as insurance options.

The car was clean inside, and ran well, no difficulties with the rental process; booking, recieving and returning the car. However I had some general concerns about the service: - the website was unclear regarding the deposit required. The first time I saw mention of a deposit was after we had booked the car and it was part of the information attached to the confirmation email. - similarly it was unclear whether I had to pay a deposit when taking out insurance. I had to email the company to explain this. - the driver that picked us up from the airport (he explained he was new) didn't know all the companies he was collecting customers for.. we had to wait over an hour at the airport for him to return (a second time) when I had to point out to him that "Northbound" was on his sign. -the free GPS was impossible to use. Having been notified that we would have a GPS I opted against renting the in-car WiFi. We then had to rely on Google maps offline for directions which was hugely frustrating. - the tyre pressure light (which I was unfamiliar with) was orange when we received the car, which was worrying, especially not knowing the symbol. no one explained that this can be a result of studded tyres. - I couldn't decipher what language the car manual was in, let alone what it said. - the exterior of the car was not clean, there were numerous dents and scratches visible and the back light cover was broken - we were not offered a chance to see the vehicle before signing the contract Recommendations: - offering customers the chance to view the car and have a walk through before signing the contract. This will also give them time to think of questions before they leave. -pre setting popular tourist destinations into the GPS for renters. This would be both helpful and practical and would be additional bonus to the service. - having a manual (hard copy or PDF) available in different languages. This can support the care of the car. - showing the renter how to switch the car to 4x4 mode and explain when it is appropriate to use it (for those who have never driven 4x4) - providing information about the different gas stations and explaining about prepay cards (especially for N1). Also the importance of keeping the car as full as possible because of the distance between gas stations in certain parts of the country.

I went to Iceland with a group of friends on February and we choose a Suzuki Vitara as our car. I really liked the car, which was very nice to drive and provided us a great trip. The shuttle offered by Northern Light was punctual and everything went right. I though the price of the car was strongly worthwhile and I would recommend both the car and the company.
