Go Iceland in Iceland

The car was great as we're the people who helped us with it.

This was a fantastic vehicle with very smooth seamless checkout and check-in. The representative met us at the airport as mentioned. They have a bus driver coming every 20-30 min, so if you don't see anyone no need to call the number provided. The car handled very well and was perfect for the the ring road and golden circle roads.

Evrething ok. Fast car pick up and delivery. Vehicle in good conditions.

Instead of a "4x4 2022 Nissan Qashqai Automatic" we got a "4x4 Jeep Renegade Automatic" and after several tries we found to fit our only two suitcases in the trunk wich is really smaller than the Qashqai's. Luckily, we were only two persons and we had planned the washing of some clothes to limit the luggage volume. The rear deck was not available (it would have prevented us from closing the rear door once we put our luggage in) and we were concerned because we rarely slept more than one night in the same hotel : our luggage was in the car all day long. After a few km, we discovered that it was a "hybrid" vehicle because I got no information about the specificities when picking it up, apart from the type of benzin needed. The vehicle was recent (mileage < 15000 km), we got no mechanic issue and no one stole our luggage. The vehicle was clean inside but not outside. We returned it in the same state.

I choose nothbound because i was allowed to drive the cars although i am eighteen. There was written the wrong fuel on the info paper that was handed to us. The exchange car was obviously not as good as the first car.

Hi, on the website the Jeep Compass was DIESEL, that's why we booked it, then when we arrived to the place, the front desk guy told us was hybrid, not diesel. Then also, the front glass of the car (Front Windshield) was with two big damages, one rock hit and one big crack (more than the half of the glass) at the same height of the view point.. We kindly asked for another vehicle and they told us that was impossible to do that, and we only can take that one. Very unpolite and really not good, next time we will go with a serious company even if I need to pay more.

The vehicle was good. It served our main purpose which was to get 6 adults from here and there across Iceland with the ability to haul all of our bags and still be able to drive on F roads.

Great service. We did book the 2023 Jeep Compass Automatic, but when we arrived, found we couldn't fit all of our luggage in the boot. Our fault - 4 people, too much stuff! Staff were really good in quickly finding a replacement with a bigger boot that we could (just about) squeeze into at no extra cost. No issues with the vehicle. Collection, drop off and bus transfers were very smooth. We did notice that the queues at the on airport car hire firms were very, very long, so were really glad we'd chosen Go Iceland.

Very nice car and I realy loved it! Nobody informed that it was a hybrid and how to charge Electric, so I did not use electric. Further I did not get any instructions at-all at pic-up about handling the car.

Great experience all around…from booking, to pick up to drop off everything was easy and just like described. I would definitely rent from this company again.

Great service and value on our car rental in Iceland! I highly recommend it. One small issue we had was the pick-up at the airport did not go as smoothly as hoped since we were looking for a driver or shuttle service with the name "Northbound" on it. Although the instructions did say look for "Go Iceland" (which I had failed to check in the details). Despite this initial confusion it was an overall excellent experience with Northbound rental!

The car went really well. We travelled for 21 days and went through some F roads and the drive was perfect. Great capacity for our luggage. The only thing that should be improved is the pick up in the airport. A lot of people was lost not knowing where to go. Just include in the message that you should look for a man with a sing just close to the information post and the exit door.

Easy, quick, nice employees

We had good experiences with Go Iceland. We rented a Duster 4WD. Good car, performed well. Drove the full circle around Iceland: waterfalls, volcanoes, geysers, many hikes. Returning the car was quick and the drove us to the airport at 04:00. Definitely recommended.

The service was perfect, easy and fast.

The car was actually a Mazda CX5 which is fine (same class) only the rental agreement was not up-dated. The stuff there was not exactly knowledable, their English wasn’t the best, so no particular help, info was provided about the car - misinformation about being a hybrid/electircal. They could tell a per-learnt test, but when questions asked, communication was down. The wi-fi adapter they provided and said that it should work in the whole of Iceland, did not work, only for a few minutes, after that was off - so wate of money.
