Icerental 4x4 in Iceland

good experience, were waiting for us when we arrived at the airport, transported us to the pick up point. hire agreement and payments were completed quickly and easily, there was no hold up. the hire price was good. we were encouraged to check and take photos of the car before we set off. drop off was just as easy...only thing to check is that you have the post code of the drop off point otherwise you are taken into the head office in Reykjavik. would use this company when visiting again

The rental went off smooth, both the pickup and drop were on time and prompt. My request is that you should also try and give some mileage information for the cars being rented. I spent almost US$500-600 on filling gas, I know the gas is expensive in Iceland however getting a mileage of 5-6KM/Litre for a suzuki is not common as japanese cars are known for their fuel efficiency. This was somewhat unexpected, I am now thinking that if I had gone for a slightly modern model maybe I would have paid more but got better fuel mileage.

Very good deal, the vehicle was even upgraded at the desk. Friendly and honest staff who gave some good advice. The Icerental site is tucked away and we didn't find it easy to find on the way back. There can be queues in the office, so make sure you leave enough time to drop the vehicle off, though Icerental went out of their way to ensure we caught the flight. Northbound site had very helpful tips on driving in Iceland and a good recommendation on ensuring you buy gravel damage insurance

Everything was perfect with a small issue when returning the vehicle. We arrived at the drop off and no employees was there. We had to call them several time before

The rental experience was easy. Our flight was delayed 9 hours but we were still met at the airport. The car served our needs well. The price was very inexpensive compared to other rental agencies. Would definitely recommend using them!

Was okay, a bit old and run down, but cheap.

Icerental 4x4 was great. They were easy to work with all the way through. We had an issue with the windshield wipers half way through our trip. I called the office and they told me to have them replaced at the next service station I found. They reimbursed me when we returned the car. Easy.

The car works good ,staff was at the airport on time easy to pick up, a little hard to find the place to return the car, no signs indicating how to get to the return place

Great car. Low battery in remote make remote access a hastle at times.

The vehicle was in good shape for having a higher mileage and came with many extras I didn't expect - seat warmers, bluetooth, GPS included. Pick-up at the airport was on time as well as the shuttle back.

The Suzuki Grand Vitara was great and easy to drive. It felt safe to drive with it. Just one comment about the small light, who were very low light power, maybe they needed to be change.

We had a great experience with Icerental 4x4! Booking was very easy, the pricing for the vehicle as well as the various insurance options were very reasonable and competitive and the staff was friendly. Most importantly, the car we rented was extremely fuel efficient, nice to drive and very secure. The only "negative" experience was pick-up/drop-off which was very time-consuming due to only one person being available for all clients. However, this will probably get better and more efficient as time goes on. We would definitely recommend Icerental 4x4 and will use them again during our next visit to Iceland!

It was a great car for our trip. The check in was smooth, I didn’t expect a shuttle trip to get to the office but it didn’t take too much more time to get the car or drop it off so that was fine. The staff where very helpful, friendly and polite. My only bad comment is the hold on our visa that we didn’t know had to happen. It seemed a bit sketchy, wish we didn’t have to do that. But besides that it really was a great suv, I drove a lot during our time in Iceland and it was comfortable and easy to use.

I can highly recommend Northbound and Icerental 4x4. We booked a Suzuki Vitara and went smooth and well through the pick up and hand in process. The car was clean and worked well, contributed to a great time in Iceland!

The car was good and the service was very friendly if a little slow. We waited about 29 minutes for the shuttle at Keflavik airport. When we got to the rental office (about a 12-minute drive away on the old USAF base), there was only one employee checking in customers with hand-written contracts. If they invest in a printer I think it will go faster! The car though was perfectly good and the price was unbeatable.

We had a great experience with the booking with Icerental 4x4 , picked up from the airport and collected the car OK. The car was great and helpful staff.

The rental experience was quick and no fuzz the car was a little dinged up but this didn't pose any issues. The Car was also equipped with Apple integration which proved very use-full for GPS. Considering the prices we're very competitive this was a good deal.

Everything about my experience with Icerental 4x4 was as to be expected. I chose to rent with them because I wanted a 4WD vehicle because I was not sure about the driving conditions in Iceland in November. They were the best priced option. They were waiting for my group when we landed at 4am and shuttled us straight to their off-site location. The paperwork process was reasonably quick and we were on our way in no time. The vehicle was great. Fairly new, clean, no mechanical issues--everything worked for the entirety of our trip. Drop off and check-out process was also smooth and they got us right to the airport without much of a wait. I would recommend Icerental 4x4 to anyone looking for a 4WD rental to explore Iceland!

The rental process went well. We found these best price for a SUV and dealing with the company once in Iceland was easy (even though finding the guy at the airport wasn't). Everything was well explained

Everything went well with Northbound without any hassles. Personnel were organized and very nice. The car was just as promised with no problems!

The vehicle we rented, overall, was a positive experience. We really appreciated the shuttle ride to/from the airport and the opportunity to look over the vehicle and make sure that any marks/dents were documented. We wished the front passenger seat warmer worked, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Also, the emergency brake (manual transmission) didn't seem to work at all, so we had to park the vehicle in a gear to keep it from rolling if we ever parked on a sleight incline.
