Icerental 4x4 in Iceland

Everything went well with Northbound without any hassles. Personnel were organized and very nice. The car was just as promised with no problems!

The vehicle we rented, overall, was a positive experience. We really appreciated the shuttle ride to/from the airport and the opportunity to look over the vehicle and make sure that any marks/dents were documented. We wished the front passenger seat warmer worked, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Also, the emergency brake (manual transmission) didn't seem to work at all, so we had to park the vehicle in a gear to keep it from rolling if we ever parked on a sleight incline.

I am just back from spending an amazing 4 days in Iceland. We rented our jeep through Ice Rental 4x4 and I can't fault their service in any way. We were collected from the airport and dropped to get our jeep. The staff went through the jeep with us, showed us all the old marks that were on it and asked us to look for any others that we might see and take a photo of them there and then. They explained about driving, safety and some rules of the road in Iceland before we left. The jeep was in perfect working order, clean and had snow tyres fitted. When we dropped it back early on the morning we were leaving we were checked quickly by staff and dropped back to the airport. I can't fault their service and they have all been a pleasure to deal with. We hadn't landed back in Dublin till we were planning our next trip to Iceland and we will be renting again from Ice Rental 4x4 to drive the ring road.

Bus service to and from the Airport was great and frequent Icerental 4 x 4 was located close to the Airport and the staff were really helpful Overall great value for money

Vehicle itself was in good condition but we did not receive the amenities that were guaranteed with the purchase including GPS and the picnic set that was added to the rental. We also had a rock crack the windshield and a small scratch on the lower driver side door that ended up costing us around $1300. We were not informed that there were options to upgrade our insurance plan to cover this type of damage until after we returned. With the given terrain conditions, the associate should have pitched that up sell on arrival. My card was charged for the damage last week but we have yet to receive the invoice for the repairs, so I have no idea if the repairs were actually performed on the vehicle or if someone just pocketed the money. I try to go with smaller businesses when I can, but I will head to a larger chain the next time I go to Iceland.

Icerental 4x4 was great! The car was in great shape and carried us around Iceland in various weather in excess of two weeks without any problems whatsoever. The winter tires on the vehicle are the best I have ever used. Would definitely rent from them again.

Everything was perfect! We arrived at the airport and the guys from icerental were waiting for us to take us to the rental place, they change us the Suzuki Vitara for a Toyota Rav 4 but the Rav were incredible and I think I liked it more, the process was really easy it took us around 30min, I even wanted to add an extra day and I just sent them an email and it was done! The Suzuki Vitara 4x4 is an excellent model to discover Iceland. The car was good, but unfortunately we had trouble with the wind which dommaged one door (and the price to repair it is very very high - 2000 EUR)

The car rental experience was amazing, fast and easy. Every information we needed was provided directly making everything very convenient. The car rental process as long as the check-out process, were very easy and quick. The car it self was appropriate and well equipped for the weather and the terrain. Although we never needed it, it was nice to know that 24 hour phone help was available. A small missmatch was that although we booked for a manual transmission we got an automatic one.

Nice car, very good sound. Great for roadtrips. Driving was really smooth. Enough space for 5 people and 5x large bags.

The overall experience was good. The best price I could find in the web. The car behave very well and the staff was very customer friendly.

The Suzuki Vitara we rented was generally ok. When we picked up the car we found that the dashboard had a number of the lights on. They had recently changed the wheels and the dashboard was saying that pressure wasn’t right. After one day the change oil light came on as the car had to be serviced. We didn’t have any trouble with the car but for a company that is renting cars on a regulat basis I would expect that they are well serviced and checked before they are rented out to customers. The team where very helpful at picking us at the airport and dropping us back to the airport but the rental company is about 10 mins away. I would make sure to leave yourself plenty of time when returning the car as they need to check to car and the driver could also be at the airport picking up other passengers. Overall it was an ok experience but I would definitely get a car with more horse power next time.

I liked the car. Everything went well. The only issue was that the car had high mileage, and was an older model. Also, the backup lights did not work. Got hard sell to buy insurance, even though I had coverage from my credit card provider. Thanks, I would use service again

I didn't get support to use GPS from Icerental4x4 . We paid for GPS and the GPS is not user friendly, it only knows few places and couldn't put the address I wanted to go to. The people at the rental office are not cooperative to show how to use it and one guy suggested to use POI and was horriable experiance to go from one place to another. We ended up to come to the office by selecting Drop off option from the list and asked to drop us to our hotel as wecouldn't put the address to the hotel and we paid extra to go to airport next day

Car was great. Windshield wipers were worn out already and didn’t do a good job when it was raining.

It was a very nice vehicle. Not a luxury vehicle but very accommodating and reliable. It rode nice and was easy to drive.

Great experience from beginning to end. They picked us up late at night to take the the office. Upon drop off we were also able to check out in a timely manner. Had no problems with the car we rented. I would definitely recommend this rental company.
