Icerental 4x4 in Iceland

Hi Runar, everything was ok except the fact that nobody showed up at the airport to pick us up. We were waiting for one hour and had to solve the problem by our own by asking somebody to take us to the car rental place (all this at 2 o’clock in the morning) Once at Ice rental, they didn’t know anything about our booking. But they solve it saying that they had an old Suzuki Jimmy model but they would give us a discount by offering extra coverage. I guess as they didn’t expect us the pillows and the mattress were dirty. We are not that type of customers complaining for everything, indeed we haven’t done a bad review until you asked us. The rest was ok. The car didn’t give us any problem and we had a great time driving around the island. Hope this review helps you to improve your service. No bad mood at all. We had a great experience overall. Very friendly service and quick answers on all of our mails even before our trip made us feel secure and involved. During our pick up and drop off everything went smoothly. The service was as we expected and there were no problems whatsoever during the trip itself we had no major issues other than a wet tent now and then but that was to expect with the wonderful icelandic weather. Drop of went as smooth as the pick u and there was no extra costs or anything. We are very happy with how it went for us and would recommend it to anyone and would definitely book again. My girlfriend and I travelled for over two weeks with a Suzuki Jimny plus roof tent. We were both very happy with our choice and had a great time. The Jimny does not offer a lot of luxuries but is a very appropriate car to travel Iceland: we took it across a few F- roads, river crossings and rough terrain - it never let us down. The roof tent is definitely a handy choice if you don't want to spend much time setting things up for the night. Unlock it and it is all set. The mattress was good. Although I usually have back problems I never did during our trip. I was pleasantly surprised. Overall, we can highly recommend this combo for a trip through this beautiful country!

The car we had ruled, being able to set up camp so easily really helped make our trip as awesome as it was.

Upon arrival the staff was fast and efficient, but I must point out that I was given a van with 8 seats instead of one with 9 seats as I had requested! Fortunately we were not 9 people because otherwise I do not know how we could solve the issue. Even on the way back the staff was quite helpful: we had to wait a bit because the two employees were very busy. However, I would like to point out that our traveling companions who rented another 9 seater van (in the name of Claudio Minigutti) had problems when they returned the vehicle. In fact, the clerk wanted to charge them with scratches on the bodywork that weren't real. This is not the first time that this has happened to me in Iceland and I advise you to pay more attention. This thing happened to me also with other companies (Lagoon) and certainly does not leave a good memory in those who visit your country. In any case, I believe I will use your service again, if I need it.

The van already had 45,000 km and indicated maintenance at mid-rental period. It is necessary to indicate how many km you have to do to know which van to rent

We (four of us) visited Iceland in June 2019 for two weeks, and Northbound made our travel unforgettable. Everything went well with Hyundai Tucson we rented and the car was in perfect condition. We were surprised that automatic and navigation was included, without additional charges. The staff was kind and friendly. It takes some time on arrival, but turning the car back was easy and fast.
