Icerental 4x4 in Iceland

All was excellent! A new car with comfortable seats and well maintained. We drove 3000 km and the Car was a good companion. It was the third year in a row that we choose northbound and also in next year we definitely select northbound for the rental car.

The concept is very nice because it easy tu put in place and inverse. One negative point is the humidity inside. I dont no know why. The mattress was humide 2 times during our trip. Other, it was a very good trip, we could go everywhere except the F269 ( forbitten) and F88 ( not safety).

The car was fine. We don’t think the air conditioner worked, but outside air kept us cool. I did not like having a $2800 pending deposit imposed at check in. When we picked up the car it was covered with water so it was hard to see any damages and photograph them.

Hi Runar, Thank you for asking. The experience with Icerental 4x4 was not so good as expected. 1. Provided car was overused 140 000 km for Subaru Forester 2018 2. We had oil exposure within motor tank. In Rejkyavik I was seen some oil signs on the car, I have opened motor tank and saw there a lot of oil, we have contacted support, they checked and tell us that someone forgot to close oil tank, I have closed it manually.... I was a bit confused to listen it, why it was NOT checked... 3. Receiving a car was so slow...... we arrived at 1:00 a.m. and got car just around 4:00 a.m. 4. At the end we have paid 1100 euro for 2 scratches..... I still didnt get response from them, what is the real price and if I should get refund 5. The last one they charge deposite 3000 euro. First time I got such practice. Money still not returned to me Appreciate your interest, hope they will improve the service. BR, Yevgeniy

Iceland is an amazing place and renting a car from Icerantal 4x4 made the experience even better allowing us to experience the island at its best. Service was excellent starting from booking through airport pickup. Car was in good condition and we got new sleeping bags. Sleeping in the roof tent was comfortable and it was easy and fast to set the tent. I can recommend this car rental service with pleasure.

Amazing 10 days experience travelling all around Iceland. I have rented several 4x4 in different countries and northbound was on the top 3. I would not have imagined that the roof tent was such comfortable for two people but it was. The Northbound team made the trip very easy for us, coordinating with them our flight time in order to pick up us at the airport and besides that, they allowed us to drive the car few hours more after ending the rental without any extra charge. I would like to give just one advice to the team, since the rest of the rental was outstanding. There are people who do not know how the car works or how the roof tent works at the first time, so maybe it is better to be patient with the clients to explain them a bit more the characteristics of the vehicle or devices and if they ask something to you that may sound obvious, it is wiser to answer them taking more time that expected, otherwise you may be answering that question in the middle of the client trip who may be on the other side of the country. Thank you very much again for this amazing experience.

Great experience with the 4x4 car - guys are friendly and tell you which routes to go (and which ones to avoid). Our car worked well and also survived the infamous F-roads. Pickup at the airport was super and also the return was easy. I would choose them again!

The car was good and let us go at all the places we wanted although the manual brake stopped working and made us feel a little worried.

it was ok ,we are not accustomed to such vehicles but itwas ok-We only had to pay attention to keep it driving straight maybe for the wind. I personally prefer normal cars they are more confortable but to go touring in Island this Jeep was good.
