Fantastic!

We were upgraded to a Mitsubishi Eclipse instead. The car was clean, and the customer service was good, despite it being a very busy day for them. They also provided good flexibility by allowing me to return the car the night before, instead of the morning as I was staying at the Courtyard Marriott nearby. Overall, a very pleasant experience renting from Lava. Thank you!

Outstanding!

Camper was great! Easy to drive. Bed was comfy for a camper. Has Bluetooth to play music. Spacious. We were worried about luggage space but we fit two backpacks and two carry on size luggage bags with room to spare. Lava was easy to work with and the shuttle was convenient.

The car was fine we just had the issue that when we arrived we did not have the car insured with the company and the car was supossed to be booked with three basic insurances, the company was fine but would be nice if the next time northbound specifies the terms in a better way because you gave me two options and I took the one with the basic insurance. but when I arrived at the car rental the said that we did not have any insurance, not even the basic.

We didn't get the Yaris but instead had an MG which was a comfortable drive and good size but had some very random behaviours

Fine

I accidentally chose a camper van that didn’t have internal heating for night time. While I take full responsibility for that mistake, it feels like bad business to rent out/advertise a vehicle like this when it’s consistently dipping below freezing every night. The person who had me sign the contract in person even showed me where to turn on the heating at night, so they weren’t even aware the heating unit had been taken out. I ended up freezing that first night and then had to use airbnbs the rest of my vacation. I also couldn’t buy any refrigerator items because the cooler didn’t work either. Overall I feel like this vehicle should’ve never been listed for rent given April is still a cold month in Iceland.

Outstanding!

Great rental car for its price and options. Everything was really smooth from our arrival to Keflavík airport. The car was easy to use and had so much space that we used for our bags and stuff. Northbound has the best price on the web with the best ratings and I think it all worth!
